This was quite an experience to watch I have to say. A couple of surprises for sure but not anything too crazy. I am very excited to follow this group and see what the future holds for them!

I'm still trying to accept this line up... my one pick was jay and him ranking 10th place like being so close to debut is so disappointing, and I just found out he was 3rd in global votes but because of knetz votes being 17th he didn't debut, same with keita being 4th global but last in korea and also the top9 in korea was the same as the one that debut, so it makes me think why did I vote if the global vote didn't really matter at the end of the day... I'm happy for matthew tho, he was my second pick so I will tune in because of him but most of my faves were eliminated lol...

Yeah I've already seen a lot of "I can't believe HE debuted instead of HIM" and it's like y'all...they're all so so talented! I'm not mad at any part of this final lineup (super surprised Jay ended up in 10th though! I thought he would be much lower, so proud of him, P.Hanbin, and Keita for ranking so high!) No bc SAME with Gyuvin! This is most he's stood out to me this entire show - his speech was the only one that made me tear up (which I was NOT expecting at all, lol!), with him shouting out his friends/trainees/family, it was SO sweet. I did not expect to be so sold on him so late in the game, but damn...suddenly I love this man LMAO Gunwook going up to fifth AMAZING - I was worried for him, but so glad he made it! His speech made me so happy - him shouting out everybody and his fellow Jellyfish trainees AWWWW Everyone running over to hug Gyuvin also really endeared him to me - clearly he's doing something right if they all love him so much, lol! RICKY IN FOURTH AND MATTHEW IN THIRD??? SO surprised! I was also worried for Matthew's popularity after that Say My Name drama honestly, so glad he pulled through! And Ricky - HELL YEAH, so glad he ranked so high! King shit ZHANG HAO IN FIRST THIS IS NOT A DRILL LMAO - SO SO SO happy for him! I definitely had that in the back of my mind, but I didn't think it would actually happen, good for him! Seeing Kuan Jui crying on the floor...ugh, I love them so much. And of course, all the YueHua trainees supporting each other was so sweet this entire time. Wasn't expecting Yujin to be in ninth (thought he would be higher) - but I'm so happy for him. I love that kid, and while I am worried for him, I also just really want him to do well, y'know? Like, that's my son LMAO ANYWAYS I'm super happy with this lineup (would've LOVED P.Hanbin and Keita in the group, but oh well), and I'm SO excited for their future. Quick side note, but the final performances being lip-synched was kinda disappointing - P.Hanbin forgetting to lip-synch in that one part was hilarious though LMAO

i’m pretty happy with the final lineup. 6 out of my top 9 made it! i’m sad jay didn’t make it but i’m sure he’ll have a bright future ahead :) yeah gyuvin has never been on my radar but i genuinely like him so i don’t mind him making it in the top 9. also i love that hanbin will get to debut with his two besties (matthew & zhanghao.) so proud of zhanghao btw 🥺 but i gotta say i could totally see hanbin becoming an ult of mine, i love himmm. i’m so ready to stan these boys!

I'm very happy with this lineup. For me as long as Haobin & Mattwoong were in I'd be happy. Picking a top 9 this time around was impossible because they are all so talented & I kept flip flopping anything after my top 4. Haobin has been my 2 pick from the beinning, so this final week of voting was hell for me. I'm so proud of Zhang Hao and seeing Hanbin so genuinely happy for him warmed my heart. Seeing the fan cams of Gyuvin's reactions to the announcements are hilarious and I can't wait to see him in variety shows. As for the group name...who would have thought it has lewd connotations in so many languages!?!?!?!?!?! ZB in Polish is an online term for pervert, means dick in Arabic, and 0 1 signifies top & bottom in Chinese. OMG LMAO.

I'm so happy jiwoong made it after everything he's been through. He's been my one pick and Two of my picks didn't make it which were Junhyeon and Park Harbin but I'm still happy with this lineup! I'll be supporting and rooting for them.

My top picks have been sung Hanbin , Gunwook, Yujin, Zhanghao and Jiwoong since the first episode. So I’m extremely happy with this line up. And from the top 18 I would have been happy with any of them because they all seemed so talented and lovely. I can already see them becoming an ult if the music is good (pls be good 🤞🏽). Everyone in the top 18 did so well and they should all be proud of themselves and I’m hoping for future success for them. The talent in boys planet. So excited for ZEROBASEONE!!!!!!🎉🥳

The finale was such an emotional rollercoaster. I'm super bummed my 1 pick Jay didn't make it in and it hurt more to know he was TENTH?!?! So close. But at the same time, Some of my other original picks like Zhang Hao, Matthew, Jiwoong, and Ricky did make it in so I'm overall happy with the line up. I was SUPER SHOCKED like everyone else that Zhang Hao ranked #1. Not that I didnt' think it was possible but the fact that SHanbin has been consistently #1 throughout the whole show and no one believed MNet would allow a foregin #1 but you know what? I'm so happy he did it. And I many be wrong, but I think Hanbin seemed relieved and happy to pass over the #1 seat to hang Hao. I think he's been under a lot of pressure sitting in that spot and see him sit down on #2 seat, he seemed relieved. I'm so happy the mothers/boyfriends/soulmates/whatever people like to call HaoBin is (seriously their friendship is adorable), get to debut together. They've been each other's pillar this entire show, both are massively talented and are great at looking out for one another and everyone else. As for the other members, I feel like none of them are a surprise since these were all high ranking or very talked about trainees so there was no one where I was like "How did he make it in?!?!" But at the same time, I'm surprised and sad that Keita didn't make it in. Jay, I knew it was kind of a stretch since he's been out of the Top 9 the past few weeks and his korean votes were low but Keita has consistently been in the Top 9 so to see him fall out one the last ranking is surprising. I also had the same thought about Gyuvin as you did, he didn't pull me in until the finale. Like, I knew who he was and his skills, but there wasn't anything about him that drew ME in. Now I'm looking forward to seeing him on variety shows cause I think he'll be hilarious. Addressing some complaints: I've seen some people trying to argue that "The top 9 was picked because of their visuals" which, yes, they are visuals but also, this is a balanced group too! You can't deny these guys' talents just because your pick didn't make it in or because they're pretty. Like, all of the top 9 received a 3 or all star either during the star level or signal song test. And people complained about the group name, yes they could've chosen a better name, but at the end of the day, it's just a name. It's the members in the group and the music/content they put out that MAKEs the group and puts value and meaning to that name. I'm sure in a few months we're going to be defending ZB1. Another thing I've seen some people try to make an argument out of: The 9 year age gap between the oldest and youngest....come on really? This is not out of the oridinary for Kpop groups, esepcially ones coming off of survival shows. Like: IZ*One ans Kep1er both also have 9 year age differences, Wanna One and X1 both had 10 years, and UNB had 11 years. The members of those worked out fine together and it's really nothing different from a sibling relationship. Heck I get along better with my sister who's nearly 9 years younger than me than my sister who's only one year younger. Jiwoong and Yujin have worked together during every stage on the show except the dual position stages, they're great together. Anyways, I'm done rambling (for now), thanks for reacting to this! I've had some time to think about the final lineup and I realized I really, really like it. I can tell they'll have great chemistry and they are all talented. I'm a bit disappointed that Keita or Phanbin didn't make it but I think I would've supported any of the 18 debuting, I love them all so much! Gyuvin's speech really ended up making me cry. He's just so lovable. (I love that HaoBin walked up the stairs together. Such a healthy, beautiful P01 and P02 "rivalry")

I've watched a lot of survival shows from mnet, mbc name it all, I've watched a ton but this one seriously is one of those that really gave me a hard time choosing my top 9 because whenever I finalize my top 9 there'd be a new great performance and then my top 9 will be changed again lmao. I did have my permanent picks tho with Hanbin, Zhanghao, Seungeon, Jay, Keita and Haruto. While the rest of the ranks I'm fine with anyone to be honest because everyone is well deserving. I'm happy that 2 out of my 6 main picks got in tho although it was already expected. I'm still sad that Seungeon, Jay and Keita didn't make it. Keita especially have been ranking high in the recent rankings so it was very sad that he fell though on the finale. It was also such a bummer for Jay because he's just one rank away from debuting. I've been rooting for both Keita and Jay since Yg Treasure box and Under19 so to see them getting all this attention now in Boys Planet (especially with Jay since he got eliminated early in Under19) really makes me happy. For Seungeon, tbh I was already kind of expecting him to not be part of the final lineup since he has always been always on the safe rank. Not too high at the same time not low. His ranks always ranges around 14-20 so I'm not expecting big but in my heart I was hoping that there'd be twist because I really want this guy to debut. He's just way too talented to be wasted. I also really liked Haruto and Seunghwan, although both got eliminated earlier than what I expected. I really thought I'd get to see Haruto perform in the finale :(( It's sad with what's happening to Ciipher but I hope they'd get another chance because the members are talented especially that Keita got a lot of attention from this show so I hope that'd help their group.

I'm so so happy with the lineup like I couldn't believe it! As long as they make what I can consider as good music, I think they're gonna become my ult! Gotta say I'm most shocked at Gunwook making it and not Keita, I could have sworn Keita was guaranteed and Gunwook was just gonna miss it. Coming in as my second biggest shock was Ricky and Matthew placing so high, esp as I was certain Matthew was done for with the edit he had received, despite being a Matthew one-picker (even though they showed him as learning from it, I still thought he'd lost too many voters to make it). And I agree with you re Gyuvin, been really struggling to warm up to him but that final speech, where you can also get a sense of how hard he's worked through those tears, helped me understand why he should be in the group too. This is the first time I've watched a long form content on someone's patreon and I'm so glad I chose yours, thanks for the fun watching it with you! Also, just gotta say this, I noticed that when you got up for your snack, I realised that as I'm typing this, I'm wearing the same t-shirt as you! Shout out to CR and the witches be b**ches haha

Hi! Not sure if you'd be interested, but Mnet released a "13th episode" called "Boys Planet Top9 Commentary", which is their first appearance as ZB1. It was really a lot of fun and not too long either. Not sure if you'd consider watching it on your own time or reacting to it, but it was nice to see them in that setting. Their chemistry is GOOD. Whether you react to it or not, I just wanted to make you aware that it is a thing haha. They are very cute.
