watching this show for hui (btw it's pronounced as hwe-taek!) but wow the way haruto has got a grip on me is crazy 😭 boy has such a fun personality with all the talent to back it up. if he doesnt make the final lineup i'd still definitely follow any group he might debut in in the future. also, i have no idea what hui's one pick power is tbh lmao a loooooot of universe aren't watching or engaging with the show at all. most of the people i've seen that vote for him are people who ult hui or other idols' fans who know his talent already. but also he has easily the most antis amongst bp viewers, so it might actually be his one pick power getting him to the top 9... i can't really imagine many people including him in their picks otherwise with all the hate he gets online.

I was actually CRYING watching this episode when we were getting close to the end of love me right announcements when Wumuti hadnt been called yet, seeing as hes very quickly become one of my top 3

I watched your episode 4 reaction after the airing of this and balled during all of the burn it up performances, especially k team. I felt so bad for them because they actually performed really well. Especially Se Yun. He improved so much in such a short time, so I actually felt he could become even better if he made it. Also Osuke, like he was so good. How did he not go on.

Me waiting for your reaction to the antifragile ref LMAO Hanbin having an existential crisis because all his team members kept making it through is such a fat mood and honestly, love him for that Haruto has very quickly and suddenly just shot up to my top picks, I'm all abaord the Haruto train now, mans is iconic and talented as shit ("you're a bird" will forever live rent-free in my head) Choi Jiho and Kim Minseoung were my underrated kings/unrealistic picks - I figured they probably weren't going to make it, but they were SO CLOSE, just a few places behind 52nd! Sad hours Super glad and actually kind of shocked that there's such a good spread of K and G team right now! I hope they end up mixing K and G together now in the missions, that would be way more interesting (they're probably gonna have to now bc they don't have an even number anymore) Matthew being 2nd...LET'S GOOOOOO THAT'S MY GUY! It's the way his being in 2nd completely blindsided me? Like damn, good for him! Krystian introducing himself as "bad Krystian" made me cackle, HE KNOWS They brought out the Native American headdress and I just 💀💀💀 bc who thought that was a good idea??? really, mnet??? Just stick to the fun dance batles jfc Honestly what even is a top 9 at this point? But I would probably go Sung Hanbin, Matthew, Zhang Hao, Haruto, and Jay as my definite top 5, and then pretty much anybody who's highly ranked rn I'm totally chill with. Holding out hope for Kuan Lui, Cong, Ollie, etc., I'm excited to see how everybody's ranking changes now that the screen time will (hopefully, please mnet I'm begging) be more evenly distributed with less people (also, love the purple hair!)

For anyone who wants to know (since they didn't announce the points for the top 3, the difference between 03 and 02 was only around 40,000 points. And first place was 8,343,418 compared to 6,983,610 for the second place, which is a WILD difference.

So disappointed Kim Minseoung did not make the cut. I don't know what happened with the K Back Door team: they had the benefit, tons of exposure with Studio Choom and yet the G contestants (I'm okay with Ricky he ruled) nearly won at every turn in votes.

Haruto is a star, i need him in the debut group. I hope now that there are less trainees, hopefully they can all get some screentime. Sidenote I don't know if you know about the survival show peak time? It's for groups that are not well known duo to different reasons or groups that just debuted, there are also disbanded groups competing. I startet watching it last week and it's blowing my mind how good some of the groups are. Just wanted to mention it incase you would want to check it out at some point.

It's funny looking at the vote differences between korean fans and global fans, because it really feels like international fans have figured some shit out this time. All the Korean trainees the votes are fairly even - like, Taerae came 11th with 570,000ish korean votes and 680,000ish global votes. Then all the global trainees are super unbalanced - Ricky came in 12th with 120,000ish korean votes and 1,200,000ish global votes. It feels like we all knew the cards would be stacked against the global trainees and we're voting to compensate for that. So I'm really interested to see how things play out. I do think the korean trainees still have the edge, of course, but it might not be as big an edge as expected.

I’m so glad Woonggi FINALLY got screentime. But I’m also getting flashbacks to Wen Zhe. MNET will most likely only give Woonggi screentime in the variety and comic relief character aspects and never for anything else. Leaves a sour taste in my mouth seeing both Wen Zhe and Woonggi (my two one picks) end up being edited the exact same way season after season.

I kinda feel like that that first top 9 might end up being the final top 9, maybe Gyuvin and Gunwook, Jay and Taerae, and Keita and Haruto will be interchangeable but it feels like nothing too big might change. Currently, I have S. Hanbin, Zhang Hao, Matthew, Jay, Keita and Jiwoong in my top 9 (along with nearly everyone else!), the other 3 spots I don't have a favouring for.

there's so much to unpack here that i'm not going to bother, but i WILL say that phanbin hard carrying his entire team of low ranking trainees through the elimination is one of the most insane and intense moments in the produce extended universe and i sincerely hope he's proud of himself. he really deserved that moment. and the insanity of name after name of the low ranks being called is unmatched. mnet loved to rig through produce, but there's truly something incredible about chance and fate genuinely making things like this happen. also, i love that jingoo has upgraded his usual hints to just outright riddles. tell me more about this trainee that was born when the sun was just above the horizon on a tuesday, jingoo. i love it. and one last thing. both times we've seen gunwook cry and be vulnerable, it wasn't over anything to do with him. he cried because he felt that he let his friends in KTL-K down the first time, and now he couldn't stop crying over hwanhee making it. then smashcut to him getting 10th with a dry eye over his own insane placement. the kid just loves his friends!!! cant wait to see him be babied as a maknae next round by hui/hao/shanbin CURRENT TOP 9: gunwook /// shanbin, zhanghao /// jiwoong, matthew, keita // jongwoo, seungeon, taerae
