Okay so I have started part 3 however I got really really tired during it and I wanna make sure I'm able to give all my attention and energy to these requests SO you have this part for today and I'll finish that last couple tomorrow and post part 3 then. Very late to this video but so glad to se Ahn Ye-Eun-- she is an absolutely genius who (somewhat surprisingly) got her start on a kpop survival show, basically doing her own thing very much like this. She composes sings, all that. And she co-wrote HANN by Idle, btw!

I'm so glad you enjoyed both songs so much! And honestly it is more or less what I expected for the Stellar reaction, the male gaze issue is extremely prominent in their music videos, this isn't even the worst one, it was just my favorite title song from them so I wanted to share the greatness of their music 💖 I'm glad you loved Saay so much!! She's so underrated god

I love that there's some Stellar! They have some incredible songs, it's such a bummer how exploitative the MVs feel. At least by Sting/Vibrato they had a certain amount of agency and the videos had at least some amount of artistic merit beyond T&A, but like....just listen to Marionette, don't even try the mv 😥 such a shame! I'm glad you appreciated both the songs I picked! Classical Musicians React did an ep on Dorothy I'm pretty sure. The strange thing is that up until about a month ago the Changgwi video had eng subs, so idk what happened with that. The basic arc of the song though is the Changgwi luring in a victim by telling them a story, with the rising vicious triumph at the climax as he finally succeeds and the tiger claims the new victim. fantastic stuff.

fun fact lee jiwoo, the one on the left in the taeyeon performance is one of the tripleS members! shes in the teaser at the end of generation, and also yooyeon in the la vie en rose stage is in acid angel

Stellar had some nice songs. I also don't mind a "sexual" and "voyeuristic" ("male-gaze" or "female gaze" like) concept for a MV, which can be an interesting artistic choice in itself. Sexuality in general (in all forms and variants) shouldn't be something to be ashamed of. But "choice" (and "agency") are the keywords here. For Stellar we know that the girls got pressured and manipulated into these concepts by the company, not by their own free will. That's why it is "creepy" and "uncomfortable" to watch.

Yes? I'm not sure why you're responding as if to correct/lecture me. I'm referring to the fact that after Marionette they violently pushed back against the sexualization, their next comeback was not sexy and bombed, and they went back and said "OK, we'll do super sexy if that's what it takes to succeed". They also had a level of veto power after that, for example refusing the initial costumes for Vibrato filming. So they in fact had increased agency at this point in their career, though of course there's a limit to how freely someone can be said to consent to something that they consider their only real choice.

It could definitely be a second-language thing, the delivery of your post came across as rather argumentative and condescending. The use of "scare quotes" around "common words" looks like someone is sarcastically defining the words to the audience: also if you're trying to communicate that you agree with a comment, saying something like "I agree that x, and also I think that y" will make that more clear, whereas if you just say "I think that y" it either looks like you're disagreeing with x or just should have posted your comment on its own rather than as a reply. Hope that helps, tone is definitely hard to get in a non-native language :)

as others have said, Jiwoo is in tripleS. i am looking forward to her debut in triple's Krystal Eyes subunit. part of the daily content from tripleS includes getting to see segments of their vocal training and dance practice. so we've gotten to see Jiwoo and the others improve over time. each member also gets to pick to learn japanese or english. the language classes are are a lot fun.
