I think this is the best behind the scenes content of a Kpop group since "9 Muses of Star Empire". Well, except for the fact that they edited around the whole Garam situation, which was expected. Whoever was in charge of editing really made it look like they had always been planned as a 5 member group. It kind of reminded me of the MV for Limesoda's "Wave", where they had to edit around a member who left the company after the MV had been shot. Every now and them you'd get a small glimpse of the former member, but it was like 1 frame.

my conspiracy brain is telling me that the fact that they not only showed Ruka but also revealed her name means that they definitely still have plans to debut her or at least give her another chance by possibly putting her in iland2 and also the fact that they can use her footage means she's still in contract with hybe since it's illegal if she has actually left the company.

I thought this was fantastic, and I really enjoyed it. The 'self-management' discussion did rub me the wrong way though. I kind of want to ask that guy who specifically he is talking about. Because we see so many clips of them, even at the photoshoot that he was referring to where they're all talking about having abs, and they're all incredibly skinny. It was really refreshing to see Sakura push back on that though. Also if anyone doesn't know there was a bit of a mistranslation during that discussion. Sakura didn't say she wanted the members to take it more seriously. She said she wanted them to be able to focus on what they're actually doing, like the shoots and recording and stuff. But yeah, what a fantastic look at what they go through preparing to debut. Really endeared me to the members even moreso.

i just watched the whole thing. there are some mistranslations but the one that's been circulating on twitter isn't correct either. in a way the original subs accurately portray sakura's point.
