This album came as a surprise to me. I would classify his style as kind of old school hip hop/ rap. I really appreciated his music. He got me to make him my bias in BTS. I know you probably know that he went on IU's Palette show to promote this and per usual they did duet on Equal Sign - it was sublime. I second what Lui said. Hobi on IU's Palette was an amazing mix of fun and a deepdive into his mindset with the album. Even IU was amazed, lol. I highly recommend, if you find time, to watch it through. Don't even do it as a reaction, just in your own free time, enjoy it for yourself.

This album is amazing and you're right about the old school hip hop vibes, he said he was inspired by all those songs he listened to when he was young and started dancing, he even sampled ODB's "Shimmy Shimmy Ya" for "What if". And I agree with the other comments, his interview on IU's palette was so lovely and them singing Equal Sign together was incredible, I hope you can check it out sometime.
