if they didn't go with the cell elimination thing and goes with individual instead would be better, xia yan, yeongyung, sun woo, you dayeon, seungeun and many more talented ladies would have made it in if it was based on individual voting😭

We actually don't know that for certain. We know the rankings for K C and J group but not how the voting lined up. I'm sure there are a couple that would have made it through based on individual votes but there's also every chance that it would have been very unbalanced between the three groups. We can assume based on the top 9 that the voting for K group was much more spread out amongst multiple contestants than it was for J and C group so there's a chance we could have had a handful of J and C contestants and a majority K group in this 54. I personally don't hate the use of the cells because at least it gives us an even spread of K, C and J girls rather than favouring any particular group. Yes it means we're losing very talented people, and some of those loses are heartbreaking BUT that would be the case regardless of whether we had cells or not. All of these girls have talent, all of these girls are loveable and worthy of having their dreams protected so eliminations would suck regardless. But personally I'm quite glad we at least have an even spread of each nation

I survived that without any of my top faves going though I am disappointed about Sun Woo and Da Yeon leaving. I'm personally not surprised that it had a 3:3:3 ratio because I think there are more 'standout' candidates in C and J groups whereas K group is a bit closer together, so I think the votes in K group will be more divided while Xiao Ting/Rui Qi will be in most peoples votes for C group and Hikaru/Yurina will be in most peoples votes for J group if that makes sense, but thats just my opinion. It would definitely be nice if it was a similar structure for the final 9. Also, 100% with you about Bahiyyih. At the end of the day, I dont mind who the other 5 are as long as Rui Qi, Xiao Ting, Hikaru, and Young Eun are in the final 9!! :)

I'm really happy as well to that top 9. Cause 8/9 are in my top 9 pick, + my two favorites are Yurina and Xiao Ting who are both in the top 2. But i'm sad as well for some of the trainee who have leave the show like Dayeon, Xia Yan... I love all of them but it's necessary to eleminated some trainees but that hurt. We can't save them all but those who are still in the competition deserve to be here and they are really great so globaly i'm pretty happy of the result of this ranking.

i did not expect bahiyyih to make the top 9 simply cuz firstly the 50% korean voting influences it a lot and more importantly, the voting system makes you choose atleast 3 ppl in each group. with that, even when you vote for bahiyyih, you also vote for two other ppl who would also be generally popular people so there votes just get added onto more from with their already die hard fans. thats what i think happened but ya

As a WIZ*ONE, Ranking ceremony always breaks ma heartㅠㅠㅠits a out of topic but when pd48 was on air, I started to like idols for the first time and wanted to protect the girls ㅎㅎ It's making me too immersed with the big stress kkk u know u can see why the survival groups built a strong fandom(?) i miss IZ*ONE ㅜㅜㅜ Anyway i really enjoyed it i cant wait next performances.

What an emotional roller coaster of an episode. I felt exhausted afterwards lol. The swings in emotion for everything Wen Zhe went through alone were insane. However, her getting the planet pass was definitely the highlight of the episode for me. I loved your reaction to Yujin at 4 as well, I died laughing lol. I'm very happy for all the girls in the top 9 and I'm especially thrilled for Yurina for getting number 1. We still have a long ways to go and I'm going to be super interested to see how things might change in how people vote as a result of this episode. I know for me, I'm going to be a bit more selective on my votes. Instead of voting for a ton of girls like I did in round 1, I'll probably just vote mostly for my top 9 and some on my short list. Thankfully a good amount of my top 9 made it, I only lost Nagomi. However, I am way too attached to my favorites now though, I dont want any of them to get cut during the next elimination.

maybe it is just me, but the audio in this felt a little off. I could barely hear any of the show even on max volume. which i guess isn't a big deal since i have to read the subs regardless lol you dayeon getting eliminated was the only one that affected my top 9, but there was a couple who got eliminated who were in my top 25 or so.

also you might have missed this, but during the segment when it showed Yurina getting up early, if you take a look at Youngeun's bed it looks like she is sharing it with JiA. They showed like 3 different days in quick succession and each day she was sharing her bed. Which is about the most adorable thing ever.

Agree with you on the Bahiyyih topic. It's conflicting and not really in her favor if she would make it into the final lineup just because of her brothers fame and not because of her own achievements throughout the show. I have similar feelings about Jiwon, May and Bora. I love them all and i want them to do well, but i would rather see them get the exposure and success they rightfully deserve in Cherry Bullet, then join another one. Yujin on the other hand deserves another shot at this, after all the shit CLC went through over the years and CUBE "dismissing" the group... Too bad Xu Ruo Wei never really got the chance to show her skills. She was one of my original Top 9 and i would have loved to see more from her, but at least 8 of them survived and 5 actually made it into this episodes Top 9. So over all i'm pretty happy with the results so far. My favorite cell since the beginning has always been Suyeon, Shana and Yaning, so it's gonna be interesting to see who they will team up with in the next episode, when they disband the cells. There are still a lot of great trainees left i wouldn't be mad at if they would end up in the final Top9, but my current dream lineup would look like this: K Group: Kim Suyeon | Kim Dayeon | Choi Yujin C Group: Shen Xiao Ting | Su Rui Qi | Fu Yaning J Group: Nonaka Shana | Kawaguchi Yurina | Sakamoto Mashiro

One thing that will be interesting to watch going forward is where do the Korean members fall in the top 9. I think because they have the deepest group, it's likely their votes are more spread meaning they fall to the bottom of the top 9. I'd guess this continues going forward but maybe this was just because of how deep the Korean trainees were at this stage in comparison to the Japanese and Chinese. Also, I thought the top 9 had to be 3 from each country. Did I dream that up?

I watched your reaction right after watching it myself so I unintentionally gave myself double the emotions LOL. I was so sad about the twins getting split up so soon too, that part hit me the hardest I think. I honestly don’t even have a TOP9 at this point, but I’ll probably figure it out while voting. I really want Bora to debut but at the same time there are so many great k group contestants that I don’t even know if she’ll get my continuous vote sadly. Also Mashiro getting 5th just seems right lol she really deserves to be in TOP9 honestly
