Txt never fails to give us amazing albums! I too am obsessed with taehyun's rasp/growl vocals😍 In terms of experimentation in this album: they have experimented with different genres in previous albums but there was a lot more in this album!

I love the album so much so it's really hard to do a ranking for me... A lot of them would place joint with eachother.... 1) 0X1=Lovesong (I know I love you) and Dear Sputnik. 2) No rules and Frost. 3) Magic 4) Ice cream and Anti-romantic. 5) What if I had been a puma (balance game)

glad to see that you've enjoyed the album and kinda surprised that the puma song is not the last on your list, I thought the autotune would completely ruin it for you 😅 I agree with you on the vocal effects, sometimes they are a bit excessive, especially the heavy autotune (every time the song has a lot of autotune, it just reminds me of that numa numa yei song and then I can't take it seriously 😂) but, for the most part, their vocal filtering goes well with the production, so I don't really notice it much I'd say txt has been one of the most experimental groups since debut, in all of their albums they mash different genres together and you never know where the next song is going to take you or even how each song is going to progress (shout out to Eternally lol) but also, with each comeback, you can see how much they improved technically, how many new colours they are bringing to their voices and it's just wonderful to see, makes me feel like a proud mom 🤗

I personally don't mind autotune when it isn't excessive or when it fits the song. Otherwise it can be a bit much. The thing with BTS and TXT is that they can do all of these songs without autotune, so it is a stylistic choice, but on the autotune heavy songs I would love to hear a live version (like the live stages of Dynamite where we can hear their voices clearly, for example). The only song on this album where I couldn't really get past the autotune/voice processing is Balance Game/If I Were That PUMA. It was just a bit too much for me, but I loved everything else about that song, so it makes me kind of sad, haha.

TXT have had some experimental tracks + styles on their bsides since Magic era (Run Away), but I think this their most experimental and diverse album so far! I also wasn't a fan of the vocal processing on What If... PUMA - it made a lot of the vocals feel flat in comparison to the track and YJ's rap, which is such a bummer. Also - Frost was produced by Ashnikko, who recently went viral for her song Slumber Party ft. Princess Nokia! She's known for having very explicit, often sapphic songs that sound very similar to Frost - I'm super hyped and surprised by this crossover with one of my favourite little brother groups haha

Loved the reaction, i do agree on the autotune thing, but i personally dont mind it, with the puma song tho it took me by surprise at first and i wasnt totaly in love with it, but after listening a few times i actually really like it. but yes Big Hit has used a lot of vocal processing in both TXT and BTS music. And for experimental goes, then TXT has always been VERY experimental in all their albums, thats kinda a signature thing from txt is that you dont know what the next song is gonna sound like because they have SO MANY different genres. and thats what i love about txt! there is a song for every taste. my ranking would personaly be: 1. No Rules (i have listened to it unhealthy amount of times) 2. Ice Cream 3. Magic 4. What if I had been that puma 5. Dear Sputnik 6. Frost 7. Anti.Romantic

Loved this reaction!! I definitely agree on the autotune thing, especially with Big Hit/Hybe artists in the music they've put out recently. In terms of WIIHBTP (I usually refer to it by its Korean title, Balance Game because it's shorter), I kinda understand where they're coming from since the lyrical content is about a game and they sample old gaming consoles in the instrumental, so it's thematically appropriate I guess, I just didn't love it initially. The song has definitely grown on me though. For this album, too, it feels genuinely like they poured everything that had into it, especially since they all have writing or producing credits, which is really cool. I'm guessing that Frost is going to be the storyline music video for this era based on the lyrical content, which I can't wait to see! If you have the time, you should definitely check out their comeback stages, at least the performances! Although the skits were really funny and cute too, so maybe if you get the chance. Thank you so much for this! Oh, and my ranking for this album would have to be: Frost, Dear Sputnik, No Rules, 0x1=Lovesong, Anti-Romantic, Magic, Balance Game, and then Ice Cream.

I feel Ice Cream gained a very different meaning for me once I read the lyrics. I really do love this album. It's great.

As a MOA I was waiting for you to get more into txt and their music so watching this made me very happy and pleased :) You should check their first full album The Dream Chapter: Magic it's so different from this one and a little bit more cohesive thematically speaking.
