What I've gathered from the many a Seventeen album I have now listened to is that their discography is, frankly, god tier.

Lmao I think this is the first time we’ve had such differing rankings! Anyway yes SVT has always produced quality from day 1 I LOVE THEM. Boys Be 1. Rock - legit one of my favorite SVT songs. Can’t really explain why, but I just love it so much. It’s just kEwL 2. Mansae - this song absolutely stamped my stan card. So fun, fresh, and energetic. I sound like a Covergirl commercial. 3. OMG - super unpopular opinion lmao BUT I love a song I can throw it back to soooo 4. Fronting - the raps are good but like you said, the chorus is addictive. Now it’s stuck in my head. THANKS HOSH 5. When I Grow Up - while I prefer the Pussycat Dolls song of the same name, this is precious and cute and sweet Director’s Cut 1. Thanks - I echo everything you said. If this isn’t my favorite Seventeen track ever, it’s certainly up there. I had such a visceral emotional reaction to it the first time I heard/saw it. The song, the lyrics, the choreo, the MV; everything is perfect. 2. Run to You - I love a good anime opening song and this one goes absolutely crazy. Loveeee 3. Thinkin’ About You - A chill bop that SVT does so well. 4. Falling for U - not my favorite by any means, but it’s so comforting and beautiful and I love that they gave the spotlight to the two members of VU who often get overlooked for their voices.

I’ve been looking forward to see your reaction to Run to you and your bouncy hair tells how much you’ve enjoyed it! People usually pair up Run to You and Together because they sound like an opening and ending song respectively for anime! I love them both! I remember you once said SVT has the best discography and I absolutely agree with you. Their albums might not be as stable as their later ones in terms of style and overall direction (they were still adjusting and looking for the sound that suits them the most), but you can tell they are making their way through and consistently making good progress. Their music is like wine. It matures and gets better with time. Thank you for the album listening month of Seventeen! I enjoyed it a lot. A bit sad that it’s over now but then I realise we will be having Going Seventeen on the coming Monday so Yay~~~~

yessss, director's cut is one of my favorite albums because the songs are all god tier, frankly. and I'm pretty sure that in your survey you had a while back, I put Woozi's "oeoeo" from Thinkin' About You as my favourite vocal moment in a song, lmao. I just adore that song-- I think it's one of their best b-sides! loved seeing your reaction to this and being a part of your journey of listening to Seventeen's discography!

You should watch the live stage for Rock and OMG ♥️

Seventeen's first albums aren't bad, they're just not as good compared to their later ones. The tracks don't sound as polished as their latest tracks but they're still very catchy. Vocal unit especially has always had top-tier songs imo, I still listen regligiously to "20" from their debut album 17 Carat. And Rock's live stage is so iconic they performed it on Kcon 2017, 2 years after it was released, and still routinely perform it on concerts. I love Director's Cut so much. Thanks is in my top 3 fav title tracks from Seventeen (and I say top 3 because 3 different songs rotate #1 depending on my mood lol). The way the song swells and dips feels like you're being brought along on an emotional journey with them. What also makes it incredibly special to me is that, usually, fan songs are made to be side tracks,. The fact that they made a fan song the title track just speaks to how much Seventeen values their fans, that they made a song thanking them the focus of an album.

since seventeen's lyrics are all written by themselves, their songs are heavily lyrics/melody based and I personally think seventeen's songs has the most beautiful lyrics in kpop. even their japanese lyrics are well thought out.

Their live performances make their song 100% even more amazing! Run To You live performances made me live for more years! I hope you can check that out!
