I just wanted to recommend 2 things. Their Song Amor Fati which Tablo wrote for "people who are mistreated because they were born the way they are", it's one of my favorite Song talking about LGBTQA+ Issues and their whole Album "We've done something wonderful"

If you check out Amor Fati you should also check out the official commentary for the song. https://youtu.be/OENG6X5H23Q

Really loved listening to this album "with" you, and tbh even if you say you don't have nothing to say that in itself is already kind of... saying something? Welcome to Epik High :)

I’m so glad you liked this album! Epic High is one of my favorite groups of all time, without any qualifiers. They have such an intense lyricism and it’s exactly like you said, it’s like they set their diaries to music. I’m also glad you liked Mithra’s lyrics!! Tablo gets a lot of praise (rightly deserved!) but Mithra has a way of wording things that are just a little more blunt and hit just a little closer to home sometimes, while Tablo likes twists and turns to really make you decipher a lyric and then get punched in the feels by it. I saw them live a couple of years ago and it was INTENSE! Also: they are tiny tiny tiny and it’s adorable.

the b.i. song feature is even sadder if you consider the shit that he's gone through. if you didn't know, he spent his entire childhood at yg (who put him through 2 reality shows just to make his debut), made them a shit ton of money not only as the leader and main composer of ikon, but also composing songs for other groups (e.g. he produced blackpink's iconic song 'whistle')...and then they just kicked him out when some girl said he messaged her one time for weed when he was 18

I only got the chance tonight to listen to this new album and I thought why not through here, with you... The 1st 3 songs made me think that this seem like a ver.2 or a follow through of WE'VE DONE SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL ALBUM. This was breaking me the same way the previous album did. Then came Acceptance Speech, the intro sounds a bit like HOME IS FAR AWAY. And the lyrics speak in the same direction of the song BLEED and LOST ONE. The line 'What doesn’t kill me can only make me bleed' is also an excerpt from BLEED. I got goosebumps for real. It was like thru Acceptance Speech, they presented to us an actual person (who is B.I) who went through the happeninga described in yhe lyrics of Lost One and Bleed before.

There are few albums that I can listen to completely from beginning to end and truthfully say that I enjoy every song. Epik High is one of those groups that constantly delivers such albums. Instead of picking out a few songs to add to a playlist, the album itself is already a playlist perfectly done the way it is. It really says something about how much care they place into every song and not just their title songs. I'm going to show a bit of my age, but it reminds me of the days when I would just pop a CD in my player and let it play, never needing to skip songs, because the album was just that good.
