Hello everyone!

We are thrilled to announce that the legend of acrylics, Vallejo, is joining our monthly painting competition! 

Here is what is being added in the prize list together with last month's prizes:

This past month we had some mind blowing entries for the Frostburn Horrors painting contest, we were truly stunned by your creativity with all of September's models!

We are still gathering more than 60 entries! 

To make the poll vote easier for everyone, we are going to be choosing the best entries (probably 20) to display at the contest poll since we would probably need a whole art gallery venue for all of them :P

Stay tuned for the next painting contest for Circus Grotesque and the new updated rules coming this week!

Wow, this is insane! Good luck everyone, because these prizes are freaking amazing!

Why not add more prize tiers? Seeing the level of the contestants this month, it's extremely hard to decide for just one... So instead of beefing up an already great first prize, I would add a prize for 4th, 5th, etc so more people's jobs are recognized.

Having run similar painting competitions at Grand Tournaments, I always felt better with a wide prize pool. The more serious painters are brought to the table by the competition and big prizes, but they're also the ones that probably could use the paint supplies the least.

I would agree, especially with all of the neat paint sets it seems reasonable that a few extra lower places being added would probably gather more interest overall rather than the winner getting a ton of different stuff.

There are no plans of adding more tiers to the paint competition as the focus of this Patreon page is 3D models and modules. A bigger painting contest demands more management that we do not have the bandwidth for. We and the sponsors are just giving prizes away and entering for the pure fun of it is encouraged.

The same argument can be made for printer model, and any other prize. There are no plans of changing the current format of the paint competition as the focus of this Patreon page is 3D models and modules. This contest is not intended to emulate a Grand Tournament. A bigger/different painting contest demands more management that we do not have the bandwidth for. We and the sponsors are just giving prizes away and entering for the pure fun of it is encouraged.

You can keep some prizes to pick personally by you, give a small prize to the one you consider most original or funny or best rookie effort. Or give prizes to random contestants, so everyone can participate for fun and the random prizes :)
