I sometimes I think I dwell too much on coloring the little fur details and need to come up with a simpler method.

Heather got a tiny on Casey There I see. As for the little details, I've always thought being a perfectionist is a big part of being a growing artist. Its easy to do flat Palettes and call it good. But to be constantly be playing with color, technique, textures and method are how you evolve. As long as your still doing it, still enjoying the process, that'll always shine thru and be appreciated (personal opinion of course).
