Patreon's been doing a good job listening to their clients and have been implementing improvements. I'm pretty impressed. They've changed the messaging system to be a little easier to track, more like a regular email system, where you can see correspondence with others off to the side, in the order in which they come. This makes it easier to deal with receiving multiple messages without a lot of backtracking.

They've also implemented the ability to ban patrons from pledging. This is a tool to combat people who repeatedly cancel their pledges after viewing and saving an artist's pledge-only content. Creators get email notifications for ever pledge they receive, and if we notice the same name pledging repeatedly, and we visit their user page and find they have no current pledge, we can deduce that they're pledging, saving content, and canceling. Sometimes these pledges correspond with new items added to Patreon, only to be canceled minutes after they're made.  Now, creators have the ability to block user accounts from making future pledges when they notice this.

It's not something that affects my account to a great degree, since we're pretty successful here, and I really love all of you for making a great fanbase for my work. But there were a couple of accounts doing this and it's good to know that it's less of a sure way to game the system, now.

These are some good news! 👍🏻

When I saw the title, I became excited because I thought that you were going to do a few pictures featuring the Kama Sutra.... But no *sigh* ;)

Wow! I can't believe that people actually do that kind of stuff. I guess that I'm just too honest to even consider doing that to you, or any other artist. There are several artists that I wish I could support but, at this time, it's impossible. I have two that I support, you and Eric W. Schwartz. Y'all are the only two I can support at this time. Thanks for this information.

Ugh, the pledge-poachers are a sad example of the subscription loophole I first noticed with porn sites (back when people were still trying to get you to pay for such things. ;-) ) -- that there was no difference between joining for 12 months to get the content over waiting a year and paying for a month. >90% savings! :P

I'm really excited about the improved messaging system. The old one was pretty difficult to read, for sure.

I'm so happy that artists who have been inconvenienced by that will no longer have to deal with that, I know a few who have had to deal with that.

Yup, I'm really glad with you about those changes!
