I drew this for the SFW Patreon, since it's been hard to come up with where I want new Original Life pages to go, so it's becoming a place where I will just publish my finished non-adult pieces in general, too.  If you're curious, the SFW Patreon is at www.patreon.com/jrnarts

There are some things about the rifle that are off, but it's not easy keeping it all in proportion and perspective without just doing a straight on profile image of it. Ah well. I know everyone cerakote's everything today, but I'm kind of a sucker for the weather-worn used look of a regular painted rifle.

Please enjoy.

Women and guns, nothing ever will beat that

Hell, I can't afford to cerakote any of my equipment. I just stick with the factory finish.

Yes it is. Still this very good. I especially like the camo blend.

jaynaylor

I've been on an FDE kinda kick lately. It doesn't really match her typical Alabama forest surroundings, honestly though.

Vet

The real secret of camo is don’t move more so than color. A sniper is trained to notice color but a grunt notices movements. So she’s safe against grunts.....it’s the sharpshooter than endanger

Why'd she leave the dust cover open? Gonna get muck in the chamber.

jaynaylor

Nah, it'll be fine. No need to close it every second unless you're in a dust storm. ARs arent' that delicate.

Jurann MacRae

Eh, YMMV I guess. They also like to be very wet, and all that oil makes for good sticking power to dirt and dust and bugs I'd rather not have to get out of my chamber. Just a habit I developed in the field to keep it closed if it's not being used. I like my rifles to stay pretty and clean.

Looks lovely~! I wonder if a banana would be a good reference for the curvature of the magazine?

Jay, I may be seeing things but Red's right foot looks funny to me. BTW, ever since I fired the M-16 in AF basic training, I've been a big fan of the AR-15/M-16.

jaynaylor

Sounds like overlubing. People say you should run ARs wet, but in reality, they'll run very well with the tiniest bit of oil inside the BCG, and even then they'll just use the carbon buildup as a dry lubricant. If the outside of it is wet, you're probably over lubricating and attracting a lot of gunk to build up and stick. At least that's been my experience with good ARs. Also, look up InRange TV AR-15 Mud Test on youtube. It's pretty surprising.

jaynaylor

It's turned to plant from the angle of her foot. Looks funny, but isn't anatomically broken. But I see what you mean.

Glenn Sellers

Okay. Whew! I wasn't sure if I was seeing things or not. Thanks for clarifying that for me.

paint and cerakote are both over rated... give me good 'ol case hardeneding and a deep, dark, high polish blue. Wheel guns are real guns!

"hardening" not "hardeneding", if there's a red jagged line underneath the misspelled word, it's obvious that someone needs to correct it, and since I spell every word correctly everyday, it's disturbs me that people have not had any keyboarding classes or paid attention to how important correct spelling can have a positive effect on one's life, both professionally and socially! In any case, the only things that are overrated is Rap, gold, the color Orange in Design & Marketing, and bullets instead of plasma, after all... this is the year 2020, the future is NOW!
