The female juror seemed much too satisfied with herself. “We find the defendant innocent on the charges of seduction and debauchery on the grounds that she’s clearly a prostitute and the officers in question did not offer to pay her.” The woman’s hand fell to her groin, rubbing the bulge in the front of her skirt. “Since she’s innocent, Samatha Smith should be punished for wasting the court’s time, and also for wearing inappropriate clothing to court.”

On the other side, the prosecution lawyer looked infuriated. “Oh, you’ve gotta be fucking kidding me!” She complained loudly. The officer behind Sam seemed not to notice her outburst. “Fuck, those officers who brought her in are my best friends! They want her dead! Come on!” She folded her arms and flopped down in the chair, pouting like a child.

The judge ignored the lawyer. “Very well.” She nodded in answer to the juror. “Thank you for your verdict. Samantha Smith, you are fined ten-thousand dollars for each charge, for a total of twenty-thousand dollars to be paid to the court.” Clearly already bored with the case, the heavy-chested judge absent-mindedly adjusted her bra as she handed the papers in front of her to a nearby bailiff. “You’ll also be required to issue a formal apology to the officers who arrested you.”

Did she just say…? “T-Twenty-thousand?!” Sam stammered, utterly taken aback. “I don’t have that kind of money!”

A loud gurgle emanated from the judge’s belly, and the woman grimaced. “The court does not care, Miss Smith. You have a legal responsibility to pay back the court.” Taking a deep sigh, the judge gave Sam an irritated look. “In any case, as a former working woman myself, an eager patron and now as an owner of several brothels, I’m quite familiar with the hourly rate of a prostitute. And I can confidently say that a sexy woman like you would fetch quite a high commission.” Her harsh eyes narrowed. “So, please explain to the court exactly how a woman in a job with such high pay can’t afford a mere twenty-thousand dollars?”
