Hello my dear utopians,

And that's it, we're now at the beginning of October, which marks the end of the submission phase for your flags. During the last month of September, many utopians shared their visions of the ideal flag for our great utopia. This submission period was marked by an incredible diversity of proposals, each one reflecting the creativity and commitment of our great community 💛

Before proceeding to the voting phase and to present them to you officially, I wanted to bring together here the 9 flags that were submitted, including the explanations given by the author when they were given.

Numbers are allocated according to the order of submission on the Discord.

"The blue-white-red of France and the castle for the quantity on the island"

Flag #3 made by 1988 Honda Accord :

"A modern, simple flag in the colours of GU with a simplified "GU" logo in the middle of it."

Flag #4 made by sceittko :

"I'm also joining in with a flag in the colours of the logo. I've taken the base of our French flag and put it in the colours of the logo because the mix of colours is quite pleasing and really represents GU's image.  As the little star in the logo also deserves to be there, I've put 3 of them on each of the stripes so that they represent Akokan Island, Patron Island and Mygotopia (in any order you like, of course)."

Flag #5 made by Hadschi Halef Ibrahim :

"The flag is kept in three colours. The emblem in the middle is split into three parts and represents the following things:
- the dark blue waves on the left: as GU is an island, the blue waves represent the ocean that surrounds it.
- the mountain at top right + the key: the mountain represents the mountains, in particular Mont Saint-Benoît, and the key represents the possible former kingdom of GU.
- the castle + the stars: the castle represents the (rich) history of Grand Utopia. The stars represent the two islands, Akokan and Grand Utopia, which make up the region of Grand Utopia."

"Grand Utopia needs a great flags with coat of arms. French coat of arms have a fleur de lys."

"This flag looks simple, it has the background of a Portuguese municipal flag, the coat of arms has two blue lines to indicate the ocean and the yellow star to indicate the land."

"The presentation for this flag is simple: the colours of GU with the outline of the island."

Bonjour mes chers utopiens,

Et voilà, nous sommes désormais début octobre, ce qui marque la fin de la phase de soumission de vos drapeaux. Au cours de ce dernier mois de septembre, de nombreux utopiens ont partagé leurs visions du drapeau idéal pour notre grande utopie. Cette période de soumission a été marquée par une diversité incroyable de propositions, chacune reflétant la créativité et l'engagement de notre belle communauté 💛

Avant de procéder à la phase de votes et pour vous les présenter de manière officielle, je tenais à réunir ici les 9 drapeaux qui ont été soumis, en incluant les explications donnés par l'auteur quand elles ont été données.

"Le bleu-blanc-rouge de la France et le château pour la quantité qu'il y a sur l'île"

Drapeau #3 créé par 1988 Honda Accord :

"Un drapeau moderne et simple aux couleurs de GU avec un logo simplifié "GU" au milieu du drapeau."

Drapeau #4 créé par sceittko :

"Je me joins également avec un drapeau reprenant les couleurs du logo. J'ai repris la base de notre drapeau français pour le mettre aux couleurs du logo car le mélange de couleurs est assez plaisant et représente vraiment l'image de GU.  La petite étoile du logo méritant d'y être également, je l'ai mise par 3 sur chacune des bandes pour faire en sorte qu'elles représentent l'Île d'Akokan , Patron Island et Mygotopia (dans l'ordre que vous le souhaitez bien sur)."

"Le drapeau est conservé en trois couleurs. L'emblème au milieu est divisé en trois parties et représente les choses suivantes :
- les vagues bleues foncées sur la gauche : comme GU est une île, les vagues bleues représentent l'océan qui l'entoure.
- la montagne en haut à droite + la clé : la montagne représente les montagnes, en particulier le mont Saint-Benoît, et la clé l'éventuel ancien royaume de GU.
- le château + les étoiles : le château représente la (riche) histoire de Grand Utopia. Les étoiles représentent les deux îles, Akokan et Grand Utopia, qui forment la région de Grand Utopia".

"Grand Utopia a besoin d'un grand drapeau avec des armoiries. Les armoiries françaises ont une fleur de lys."

"Ce drapeau a l'air simple, il a le fond d'un drapeau de municipalité portugaise, le blason a deux lignes bleues pour indiquer l'océan et l'étoile jaune pour indiquer la terre."

"La presentation est simple pour ce drapeau : le rappel des couleurs de GU avec le tracé de l'île."
