The Weekly Report #78 | August 27, 2023 (Patreon)

Hello dear Utopians,

It's Friday (oops, Sunday) and it is time to review the events of the past week!

[1] AKOKAN ISLAND

Grand quarry of Assamaka

This week saw the completion of the Assakama quarry. It's the biggest quarry I've had the opportunity to create so far! I hope you enjoy this place which, I'm well aware, goes a little against the natural aspect you might expect from a protected natural area. 😅

Assamaka

The village of Assamaka will be located high above the quarry. To get there, you'll need to take forest road no. 3 either from Port-Méli, or first via the D29. I've taken a screenshot of the map to give you a better idea of the route options available.

The village itself has not yet been started. However, I can tell you what I'm planning. I'm thinking of creating a very small village built around a main road that runs right through it. On the south side, there will be a marble quarry where you can pick up and drop off blocks of marble. On the north side, slightly set back from the village, I'm planning to create a tourist site with a hotel that you can deliver to.

Forest road 3

This weekend I also laid the entire F3 road. Creating the scenery around it will make up the bulk of the work to be done next week.

[2] GRAND UTOPIA

Just a quick note to let you know that I'm also going to publish a new compatibility version of Grand Utopia when I publish the next version of Akokan Island. There will be no addition in terms of mapping. However, I have started work on standardising the font size for the names of towns and villages. I want the font size to be the same for all mods and add-ons.

So you'll have the beginnings of a unit with Grand Utopia and Akokan Island. Mygotopia will be in the next version. Finally, for Patrons Island, I'll be able to make a small update after I've finished my work on Akokan Island.

Il est vendredi et il est l'heure de passer en revue les événements de cette semaine passée !

Grande carrière d'Assamaka

Cette semaine, la création de la carrière d'Assakama s'est achevée. Elle est la carrière la plus grande que j'ai eu l'opportunité de créer jusqu'à présent ! J'espère que vous apprécierez cet endroit qui, j'en ai bien conscience, va un peu à l'encontre du côté naturel qu'on peut attendre d'une zone protégée 😅

Assamaka

Le village d'Assamaka sera situé en hauteur, au dessus de la carrière. Pour y accéder, il vous faudra emprunter la route forestière n°3 soit depuis Port-Méli, soit en passant d'abord par la D29. Je vous ai pris un screen de la carte qui vous permettra de mieux visualiser les options de routes disponibles.

Le village en tant que tel n'a pas été commencé. Toutefois, je peux vous indiquer ce que je prévois. Je pense créer un tout petit village articulé autour d'une route principale qui le traversa de part en part. Côté sud, un marbrier vous permettra de venir chercher/déposer des blocs de marbres. Côté nord, un peu en retrait du village, j'envisage de créer un site touristique avec un établissement hôtelier que vous pourrez être amenés à livrer.

Route Forestière n°3

Ce weekend, j'ai également posé la route F3 dans son entièreté. La création des décors autour de cette dernière composera la majeure partie du travail à accomplir la semaine prochaine.

[2] GRAND UTOPIA

Petit paragraphe pour vous indiquer que je vais également publier une nouvelle version de compatibilité de Grand Utopia lorsque je publierai la prochaine version d'Akokan Island. Il n'y aura ajout en terme de mapping. Par contre, j'ai entamé l'uniformisation de la taille de la police d'écriture du nom des villes et villages. En effet, je souhaite que la taille soit identique sur l'ensemble des mods et add-ons.

Vous aurez donc un début d'unité avec Grand Utopia et Akokan Island. Pour Mygotopia, ce sera lors de la prochaine version. Enfin, pour Patrons Island, je pourrai faire une petite mise-à-jour après avoir terminée mon travail sur Akokan Island.
