Hello dear Utopians (that sounds better than Patrons, right?),

It's Friday and time to review the events of the past two weeks!

First of all, I just want to say sorry for the missed report last week. I was caught up in bathroom remodeling work from Friday to Sunday 😂

[1] MYGOTOPIA

I am still working on the creation of Route 1 between the La Josefine Tunnel and Liberty Bay. This portion is becoming endless to create 😂 but it is that, in fact, it is really super long. I haven't calculated it yet, but you should expect at least 20 kilometers 🤯

But it is progressing, slowly but surely!

Recently, I was able to install the missing sections to connect the already created part with the rest of the map. This allows to see a little light at the end of the tunnel.

I put in the gallery of this post some pictures of the new passages created.

And to think that afterwards, I will have to do a long stretch of road to Foxhaven which is a bit further east than the tunnel exit. It's okay that I love mapping 😋

I'm a little disappointed though, because I really thought I could create this portion of the road + the town of Foxhaven before the end of March. I don't know what possessed me to believe that 😅

[2] CAFÉ MAPPING #31

It's been a long time! I was able to publish a small Café Mapping ("small" lol, it lasts 1 hour) about the creation of a very first custom garage on Mygotopia.

[3] GRAND UTOPIA OF AMERICA

I don't have any big news to announce about GUOA but I wanted to keep you informed. I was contacted today by one of the developers of Team Reforma who, as you probably know, also creates maps for ATS.

They seem to like Grand Utopia and even told me that they used it as inspiration for their real scale map Esterlon. As they heard about my American project, they proposed me to make GUOA compatible with Esterlon.

To illustrate this section, here is a screenshot I took when I was driving on it:

I think it's great news because Esterlon is a fictional map that I like a lot for having tried it personally and the idea of being able to combine the two maps from the beginning is a great feature.

Finally, this proposal comes at the right time because, not having officially started the mapping, I can still adjust the location of the map without having to move everything and so, when the time comes, I will be able to start the mapping at the right place.

All this makes me want to attack GUOA even more 🤣

[4] THE GIF OF THE WEEK

Creation of a railroad bridge (thanks to an ATS item) along Route 1 on Mygotopia.

Well sorry, the gif is not tip top. I messed up with the weather a bit and, most of all, I didn't take enough pictures about the different stages 😅 I hope to do better for the next week!

Bonjour chers Utopiens (cela sonne mieux que Patrons, non?),

Nous sommes vendredi et il est l'heure de passer en revue les événements de ces deux semaines passées !

Tout d'abord, je souhaite simplement vous dire désolé pour le rapport manqué la semaine dernière. J'ai été pris dans des travaux de réfection de salle de bain du vendredi au dimanche 😂

[1] MYGOTOPIA

Je suis toujours sur la création de la Route 1 entre le Tunnel de La Josefine et Liberty Bay. Cette portion commence à devenir interminable à créer 😂 mais c'est que, en fait, elle est réellement super longue. Je n'ai pas encore calculé mais tablez sur au minimum une vingtaine de kilomètres 🤯

Mais ça avance, lentement mais sûrement !

Dernièrement, j'ai pu poser les tronçons manquants pour connecter la partie déjà créée avec le reste de la map. Ce qui permet en quelque sorte de voir un peu de lumière au bout du tunnel.

Je vous mets dans la galerie de ce post quelques photos des nouveaux passages créés.

Et dire qu'à après, il faudra que je fasse encore une grande portion de route jusqu'à Foxhaven qui est un peu plus à l'Est par rapport à la sortie du tunnel. Ça va que j'adore mapper 😋

Je suis un peu déçu tout de même car, je pensais vraiment pouvoir créer cette portion de route + la ville de Foxhaven avant la fin du mois de Mars. Je sais pas ce qui m'a pris de croire ça 😅

[2] CAFÉ MAPPING #31

Cela faisait longtemps ! J'ai pu publier un petit Café Mapping ("petit" lol, il dure 1 heure) concernant la création d'un tout premier garage custom sur Mygotopia.

[3] GRAND UTOPIA OF AMERICA

Je n'ai pas de grande nouvelle à annoncer concernant GUOA mais je tenais à vous tenir informés. J'ai été contacté aujourd'hui par l'un des développeurs de la Team Reforma qui, vous le savez sans doute, créé également des maps pour ATS.

Ils semblent apprécier Grand Utopia et m'ont d'ailleurs appris qu'ils s'en étaient inspiré pour la création de leur map à échelle réelle Esterlon. Comme ils ont eu vent de mon projet américain, ils m'ont proposé de rendre compatible GUOA avec Esterlon.

Pour illustrer cette section, voici un screenshot que j'ai pris quand je roulais dessus :

Je trouve que c'est une super nouvelle car Esterlon est une map fictive que j'apprécie beaucoup pour l'avoir essayé à titre perso et l'idée de pouvoir dès le début combiner les deux maps est un bel atout.

Enfin, cette proposition arrive au bon moment car, n'ayant pas officiellement commencé le mapping, je peux encore ajuster l'emplacement de la map sans tout devoir déplacer et ainsi, le moment venu, je pourrai commencer le mapping au bon endroit.

Tout ça me donne encore plus l'envie d'attaquer GUOA 🤣

[4] LE GIF DE LA SEMAINE

Création d'un pont ferroviaire (grâce à un item d'ATS) le long de la Route 1 sur Mygotopia.

Bon désolé, le gif est pas tip top. J'ai un peu merdé avec la météo et, surtout, j'ai pas pris assez de photos concernant les différentes étapes 😅 J'espère faire mieux pour la semaine pro !
