Hello dear Patrons,

It's Friday and it's time to review the events of the past week!

[1] MYGOTOPIA

Work on Mygotopia to create the extension of Route 1 to Liberty Bay is slowly but surely progressing. I'm really looking forward to a full ride along this new stretch! But it won't be for a while, I think I'm about halfway through 😅

Following a nice discussion on the Patrons private channel on Discord (which I invite you to join if you haven't already!), I decided to make all Mygotopia's petrol stations deliverable. In order to make this not too complicated and time-consuming (because, basically, only Eco and Ini can be delivered), I created a new custom company: MAGO (for Mygotopian Association of Gas-station Operators). Here is the logo that you can find in game:

To summarise the concept, fuel deliveries can be started from any company offering them. The MAGO company can only receive them. This company will be placed on all existing and future petrol stations thanks to a small prefab taken from the Custom Company mod (which has been integrated into GU for a long time and which I use in particular for the narrow deliveries of the Utopian Home Movers company). This way, you can be asked to deliver to service stations more often.

However, this system implies having a "town" name to attach the prefab to. This is why a new type of commune has been introduced, of which there are now three: towns, villages and hamlets.

The first hamlet added to Mygotopia is Hillside, located along Route 1 of course. By the way, did you know that you can suggest names of towns/villages/hamlets via this post : Brainstorming: names of Mygotopia cities, villages and hamlets | MyGodness sur Patreon ? I'm putting this down here, just in case😉

Finally, transposing this concept to Grand Utopia, so that all service stations are deliverable, is possible and will most likely be realised one day. I just don't know when yet!

[2] RESULT OF THE LAST POLL

This week, you have the opportunity to express your opinion via the Patron only voting power. I asked you to choose a price range for fuel on Mygotopia.

Without further ado, 42% of you prefer a price per litre between €1.00 and €1.50.

The next step is a 2nd vote where I will submit the countries corresponding to these prices per litre. You will have to choose which one Mygotopia will be indexed on.

[4] NEW CONCEPT?

Do you like this kind of little gif? The initial idea was to make a short photo report to show the before and after, summarising briefly the steps taken in the mapping process, but Adyox had the idea of offering the photos in the form of a gif. I thought it was really nice 😁

It's very easy to do it on my side (I just have to put a camera and take some pictures during the mapping) so I can propose some on a regular basis. Ideally one every week and published via the Weekly Report (I'm attaching the first one if you want to download it). What do you think about it?

[5] GRAND UTOPIA WIKI

This week, I also wanted to highlight an initiative of Jorrit Aalvink: the opening of a Wiki for Grand Utopia and its add-ons. He has already done a remarkable job in gathering a lot of information related to our utopia but the task is great so do not hesitate to contribute personally to this wiki!

For your information, the wiki is in English but it is quite possible to participate in its creation by proposing translations.

Bonjour chers Patrons,

Nous sommes vendredi et il est l'heure de passer en revue les événements de cette semaine passée !

[1] MYGOTOPIA

Le travail sur Mygotopia concernant la création du prolongement de la Route 1 en direction de Liberty Bay se poursuit lentement mais sûrement. J'ai vraiment hâte de pouvoir effectuer un trajet complet le long de cette nouvelle portion ! Mais ce n'est pas pour tout de suite, je pense que j'en suis à peu près à la moitié 😅

Suite à une belle discussion sur le salon privée du Discord reservé aux Patrons (que je vous invite à rejoindre si ce n'est pas déjà fait !), j'ai décidé de rendre toutes les stations-service de Mygotopia livrables. Afin que cela ne soit pas trop compliqué et trop chronophage à réaliser (car, de base, seuls les société Eco et Ini peuvent être livrées), j'ai créé une nouvelle société custom : MAGO (pour Mygotopian Association of Gas-station Operators). Voici d'ailleurs le logo que vous pourrez retrouver en jeu : 

Pour résumer un peu le concept, les livraisons de carburant pourront débuter depuis n'importe quelle société en proposant. La société MAGO, quant à elle, ne peut que les recevoir. Cette société sera placée sur l'ensemble des stations-services existantes et à venir grâce à un petit prefab tiré du mod Custom Company (qui est intégré à GU depuis bien longtemps et que j'utilise notamment pour les livraisons étriquées de la société Utopian Home Movers). Ainsi, vous pourrez être amenés à livrer des stations-services plus souvent.

Ce système implique toutefois d'avoir un nom de "ville" pour y rattacher le prefab. C'est pourquoi il a été mis en place un nouveau type de commune qui sont dorénavant au nombre de trois : les villes, les villages et les hameaux.

Le premier hameau ajouté à Mygotopia est donc Hillside, situé le long de la Route 1 évidemment. D'ailleurs, saviez-vous que vous pouvez proposer des noms de villes/villages/hameaux via ce post : Brainstorming: names of Mygotopia cities, villages and hamlets | MyGodness sur Patreon ? Je pose ça là, au cas où 😉

Pour finir, transposer ce concept à Grand Utopia, pour que toutes les stations-services soient livrables est possible et sera très probablement réalisé un jour. Je ne sais juste pas encore quand !

[2] RÉSULTAT DU DERNIER SONDAGE

Cette semaine, vous avez l'opportunité d'exprimer votre avis via le pouvoir de vote réservé aux Patrons. Je vous demandais de choisir une fourchette de prix pour le carburant sur Mygotopia.

Sans plus attendre, vous êtes 42 % à préférer un prix au litre situé entre 1,00 € et 1,50 €.

La prochaine étape consiste en un 2e vote où je vous soumettrai les pays correspondants à ces prix au litre. Il faudra choisir sur lequel Mygotopia sera indexé.

[4] NOUVEAU CONCEPT ?

Est-ce que ce genre de petit gif vous plait ? L'idée initiale était de faire un court reportage photos pour montrer l'avant et l'après, en résumant succinctement les étapes réalisées niveau mapping mais Adyox a eu l'idée de proposer les photos sous forme de Gif. J'ai trouvé ça super sympa 😁

C'est très facile à faire de mon côté (j'ai juste à placer une caméra et prendre quelques photos lors du mapping) donc je peux en proposer de façon régulière. Idéalement un chaque semaine et publié via le Rapport Hebdomadaire (je vous mets ce premier en pièce jointe si vous souhaitez le téléchargez). Qu'en pensez-vous ?

Cette semaine, je tenais également à mettre en lumière une initiative de Jorrit Aalvink : l'ouverture d'un Wiki pour Grand Utopia et ses add-ons. Il a déjà fait un travail remarquable en y regroupant de nombreuses infos relatives à notre utopie mais la tâche est grande donc n'hésitez pas contribuer personnellement à ce wiki !

Pour votre information, le wiki en anglais mais il est tout à fait possible de participer à sa création en proposant des traductions.
