Hello dear Patrons,

It's Friday and it's time to review the events of the past week!

[1] GRAND UTOPIA V1.15

This is the news of the week! If you missed it, you can check out this article or you can go directly to TruckyMods.io to download this new public version and update your game.

As a reminder, this new version brings the following towns and villages: Arlandis, Courpière, Denver, Maringues, Nouillorc, Saint-Sylvestre-Cappel and Sulikôw.

[2] RESULTS OF THE LATEST POLL

This week you had another opportunity to use your Patron-only voting power via this poll. This last one allowed you to decide which add-on will have my attention during the next weeks. The votes were very, very close! But the majority has made its decision and it will be Mygotopia, in order to create Foxhaven, the 3rd city that I couldn't integrate in the last published version (v0.5 alpha).

I take advantage of this report to confirm that, once Foxhaven is created and v0.6 of Mygotopia is published, I will move on to the creation of Akokan Island. The goal is to try to finish this little add-on in its next version.

[3] MYGOTOPIA

In accordance with the results of the vote, I have therefore resumed the creation of Mygotopia, starting with the construction of the La Josefine road tunnel. This will provide you with a second road to Mygotopia.

Some pictures of this tunnel have already been published on the Patron-only channel of the Discord. You can find them in the gallery of this report 😉

This tunnel will have a special feature. On the La Josefine side, the entrance of the tunnel being quite high compared to the sea level (+ 35 m approximately), I had to create an infrastructure allowing to go down 70 m (in a relatively realistic way) to reach the - 35 m. This was especially necessary to be able to pass under the large rocks used to create the scenery on the island of La Josefine. 😅 So you will soon have the pleasure of driving down a 2 km spiral road, limited to 30 km/h 🤣 (I tried 50 km/h, it is too fast due to the curve of the road and I want to avoid accidents).

[4] PATRONS ISLAND

While waiting for the results of the poll, I have taken the initiative to make some small improvements to the Patrons Island add-on. Mainly it's a work on the night lighting, the addition of a viewpoint and a ferry connection to Liberty Bay (MG).

Unfortunately, I can't release the add-on update without also releasing a Grand Utopia update. It turns out that I had, for some reason, defined the Patrons Island ferry point in the Grand Utopia mod. So I fixed that so that it won't be annoying in the future if I have to release a new version of Patrons Island.

So I decided to publish the update of this add-on and, consequently, of a new beta version of Grand Utopia, at the same time as the publication of the v0.6 alpha of Mygotopia.

Finally, thanks to this sudden growth, I am pleased to inform you that the 3rd goal out of 4 has been reached! Beware, at the next level, I'll quit my job to devote myself 100% to the creation of your favourite mods 😎

Nous sommes vendredi et il est l'heure de passer en revue les événements de cette semaine passée !

[1] GRAND UTOPIA V1.15

C'est l'info de la semaine. Si vous avez manqué le coche, vous pouvez consulter cet article ou vous rendre directement sur TruckyMods.io pour télécharger cette nouvelle version publique et ainsi mettre à jour votre partie.

Pour rappel, cette nouvelle version apporte les villes et villages suivants : Arlandis, Courpière, Denver, Maringues, Nouillorc, Saint-Sylvestre-Cappel et Sulikôw.

[2] RÉSULTATS DU DERNIER SONDAGE

Cette semaine, vous avez eu une nouvelle opportunité pour user de votre pouvoir de vote via ce sondage. Ce dernier vous a permis de décider quel add-on aura mon attention durant les prochaines semaines. Les votes ont été très, très serrés ! Mais la majorité a pris sa décision et ce sera Mygotopia, afin de créer Foxhaven, la 3e ville que je n'avais pas pu intégrer à la dernière version publiée (v0.5 alpha).

Je profite de ce rapport pour confirmer que, une fois Foxhaven créée et la v0.6 de Mygotopia publiée, je passerai à la création d'Akokan Island. Le but étant effectivement d'essayer de finir complètement cet petit add-on dans sa prochaine version.

[3] MYGOTOPIA

Conformément aux résultats du vote, j'ai donc repris la création de Mygotopia en commençant notamment par la construction du tunnel routier de La Josefine. Ce dernier va vous permettre de disposer d'une 2e route pour rejoindre Mygotopia.

Quelques photos de ce tunnel ont été d'ores-et-déjà publiée sur le salon privée du Discord. Vous les retrouverez dans la galerie de ce rapport 😉

Ce tunnel aura d'ailleurs une belle particularité. Côté La Josefine, l'entrée du tunnel étant assez élevé par rapport au niveau de la mer (+ 35 m environ), il m'a fallut créer une infrastructure permettant de descendre de 70 m (de façon relativement réaliste) pour atteindre les - 35 m. Cela surtout pour pouvoir passer sous les gros rochers utilisés pour créer les décors de l'île de La Josefine 😅 Vous aurez donc prochainement le plaisir de descendre 2 km de route en spirale, limitée à 30 km/h 🤣 (j'ai essayé 50 km/h, c'est trop rapide vu la courbure de la route et je souhaite éviter les accidents).

[4] PATRONS ISLAND

En attendant les résultats du sondage, j'ai pris l'initiative d'apporter des petites améliorations à l'add-on Patrons Island. Il s'agit principalement d'un travail sur l'éclairage nocturne, l'ajout d'un point de vue et d'une connexion ferry avec Liberty Bay (MG).

Malheureusement, je ne peux pas publier la mise-à-jour de l'add-on sans publier également une mise-à-jour de Grand Utopia. Il s'avère que j'avais, je ne sais pour quelles raisons, défini le point ferry de Patrons Island dans le mod de Grand Utopia. J'ai donc corriger cela pour ne plus être embêtant à l'avenir si je dois publier une nouvelle version de Patrons Island.

Du coup, j'ai décidé de publier la mise-à-jour de cet add-on et, par conséquent, d'une nouvelle version beta de Grand Utopia, en même temps que la publication de la v0.6 alpha de Mygotopia.
