Official launch of the manual for the SCS editor (Patreon)

Hello dear Patrons,

As many of you know, I like to share my knowledge about my experience with the SCS map editor. From the beginning, I tried to share with as many people as possible what I had learned using this software, especially since it was quite difficult to find quality tutorials at the time.

I have to admit, more than once, I struggled to find this or that information. Sometimes to the point of losing my patience, as I find it absurd for SCS Software to proudly and publicly claim to be a pro-mods game publisher while not giving any official explanation on how their software works. Anyway, it seems that you're never better served than by yourself 😏

So I must have spent hundreds of hours mapping to try to understand how this editor works and the features it contains. And I still haven't finished learning because there are still a lot of things and functions that I don't know how to use!

I've always wanted to share this knowledge and that's why I published several video tutorials on my YouTube channel. I can now see that this subject is interesting since each of these videos has reached a large number of views.

Well ... All this to say that I officially publish my own user manual for SCS Software. It is not complete, far from it. I will try to add to it regularly so that you can also start this beautiful adventure of creating a map and I hope that you will take as much pleasure and pride in this activity as I do.

Obviously, the manual is free and accessible online via my website. You will find in the top menu, on the right, a new tab allowing you to join the special Notion created for this.

Lancement officiel du manuel pour l'éditeur de SCS

Bonjour chers Patrons,

Comme beaucoup d'entre-vous le savent, j'aime vulgariser mes connaissances en ce qui concernent mon expérience avec l'éditeur de carte de SCS. Dès le début, j'ai tenté de partager avec le plus grand nombre ce que j'avais appris en utilisant ce logiciel, d'autant plus qu'il m'était assez difficile de trouver des tutoriels de qualité à l'époque.

Je dois l'avouer, plus d'une fois, j'ai peiné à trouver telle ou telle information. Parfois jusqu'à perdre patiente tant je trouve cela aberrant pour SCS Software de prôner fièrement et publiquement être un éditeur de jeux pro-mods mais tout en ne donnant aucune explications officielles sur le fonctionnement de leur éditeur. M'enfin bref, on n'est jamais mieux servi que par soi-même paraît-il 😏

J'ai donc dû passer des centaines d'heure à mapper pour tenter de comprendre comment s'articulait cet éditeur et les fonctionnalités qu'il comporte. Et je n'ai d'ailleurs toujours pas fini à apprendre car il reste encore bon nombre de choses et de fonctions dont j'ignore totalement l'utilité !

J'ai toujours eu envie de partager ce savoir et c'est notamment pour cela que j'ai publié plusieurs tutoriels vidéos sur ma chaîne YouTube. Je peux maintenant constater que ce sujet intéresse puisque chacune de ces vidéos a atteint un grand nombre de vues.

Bon ... Tout ça pour dire que je publie officiellement mon propre manuel d'utilisation pour l'éditeur de SCS Software. Il n'est pas complet, loin de là. Je vais essayer de l'alimenter régulièrement pour que vous puissiez aussi vous lancer dans cette belle aventure qu'est la création d'une map et j'espère que vous tirerez de cette activité autant de plaisir et de fierté que moi.

Évidemment, le manuel est gratuit et accessible en ligne via mon site internet. Vous trouverez dans le menu du haut, tout à droite, un nouvel onglet vous permettant de rejoindre le Notion spécialement créé pour cela.
