It's Sunday and it's time to review the events of the past week!

[1] Mapping follow-up

Akokan Island

This week has been eventful following the completion of the Akokan Island mapping. You may have already downloaded the addon via the dedicated article and I hope you enjoy this new tropical territory.

For this occasion, I quickly edited a small video trailer to present the island. I would like to thank MColo for the idea of the Cuban music, which lends itself wonderfully to the atmosphere of this addon. For the latecomers, you can watch the video here.

Grand Utopia

The release of Akokan Island was the occasion for me to update Grand Utopia via a small update bringing minor modifications and fixing reported bugs. You will be able to find new points of interest and the display of hidden roads has been activated on several sections.

Version v1.14.3 is currently available for download for all utopians from TruckyMods. I know I've already mentioned it several times but I'd rather insist on it: from now on, this platform will be the only official place where players can download the Grand Utopia mod. The Google Drive will gradually be decommissioned when all the items on it have been moved to the website.

Patrons Island

In order to make it easier for you to navigate my Patreon page, I have decided to update the post allowing you to download the Patrons Island addon.

JI don't know if I asked the question here or on the Discord but if in doubt I'll repeat myself. If you have any particular ideas about Patrons Island, please let me know so I can improve this little private island. It was recently suggested to me to add direct ferry connections from Patrons Island to Mygotopia and Akokan Island. I think it's an interesting idea and I'll be working on it in the coming weeks.

I also decided to create a logo for this addon because it didn't have one. It is quite simple but I hope you will like it.

Mygotopia

The work on Akokan Island is finished, so this week I took over the mapping of Mygotopia. I started with the creation of Two Rivers, one of the three cities you have chosen for the next version.

But first, I published Mygotopia v0.3. The latter will provide you with a mod that is fully compatible with ETS 1.44 and up to date regarding the display of hidden routes.

It is, for me, always a pleasure to find the atmosphere of Mygotopia, I really like creating this addon and I can't wait to let you discover these first images.

After opening the base map and going to Austria to study how SCS created its beautiful mountainous landscapes, I tried to reproduce this. I still have some experience to gain in this aspect but I am already very excited about this first draft!

[2] Setting up a download centre

Once again, in order to make your life easier, I have decided to create a post that will serve as a download centre from which you can easily access all the dedicated articles with direct links.

This post has been pinned to my Patreon homepage. Therefore, you will always find it at the top of the news feed.

[1] Point mapping

Akokan Island

Cette semaine a été riche en événements suite à la fin du mapping concernant l'Île d'Akokan. Vous avez peut-être d'ores-et-déjà téléchargé l’addon via l'article dédié et j'espère que vous appréciez ce nouveau territoire tropical.

À cette occasion, j'ai rapidement monté un petit trailer vidéo pour présenter l'île. Je remercie d'ailleurs MColo pour l'idée de la musique cubaine qui se prête merveilleusement bien à l'atmosphère de cet addon. Pour les retardataires, vous pouvez visionner la vidéo ici.

Grand Utopia

La publication d'Akokan Island fut l'occasion pour moi de mettre à jour Grand Utopia via une petite mise-à-jour apportant des modifications mineurs et la corrections des bugs signalés. Vous pourrez ainsi y retrouver de nouveaux points d'intérêts et l'affichage des routes cachées a été activée sur plusieurs tronçons.

La version v1.14.3 est actuellement disponible en téléchargement pour l'ensemble des utopiens depuis TruckyMods. Je sais que je l'ai déjà mentionné plusieurs fois mais je préfère insister à ce sujet : désormais cette plateforme sera le seul endroit officiel où les joueurs pourront télécharger le mod de Grand Utopia. Le Google Drive va peu à peu être mis hors service quand l'ensemble des éléments s'y trouvant aura été déplacé vers le site internet.

Patrons Island

Afin de rendre toujours faciliter votre navigation sur ma page Patreon, j'ai décidé de mettre à jour le poste vous permettant de télécharger l'addon Patrons Island.

Je ne sais plus si j'ai posé la question ici ou sur le Discord mais dans le doute je me répète. Si vous avez des idées particulières concernant Patrons Island, n'hésitez pas à me les communiquer afin que je puisse améliorer cette petite île privée. On m'a récemment suggérer d'ajouter des connexions ferry directes depuis Patrons Island vers Mygotopia et Akokan Island. Je trouve l'idée intéressante et je m'occuperai de mettre cela en place dans les semaines qui arrivent.

J'ai également décidé de créer un logo pour cet addon car ce dernier n'en avait pas. Il est assez simple mais j'espère que vous l'aimerez.

Mygotopia

Le travail sur Akokan Island étant terminé, j'ai repris cette semaine le mapping au niveau de Mygotopia. J'ai donc commencé par la création de Two Rivers, l'une des trois villes que vous avez choisi pour la prochaine version.

Mais avant tout, j'ai publié la v0.3 de Mygotopia. Cette dernière vous permettra de disposer d'un mod entièrement compatible avec ETS 1.44 et à jour concernant l'affichage des routes cachées.

C'est, pour moi, toujours un plaisir de retrouver l'ambiance de Mygotopia, j'aime vraiment créer cet addon et j'ai hâte de vous laisser découvrir ces quelques premières images.

Après avoir ouvert la map de base et m'être rendu en Autriche pour étudier comment SCS avait créé ses magnifiques paysages montagneux, j'ai tenté de reproduire cela. J'ai encore un peu d'expérience à acquérir à ce niveau mais je suis déjà très excité par ce premier jet !

[2] Mise en place d'un centre de téléchargement

Encore une fois, afin de vous faciliter la vie, j'ai décidé de créer un post qui servira de centre de téléchargement à partir duquel vous pourrez facilement accéder à l'ensemble des articles dédiés disposant des liens directs.
