Weekly Report - March 27, 2022 | #12 (Patreon)

Hello dear Patrons,

It's Sunday and it's time to review the events of the past week!

[1] Mapping point

Let's start with the mapping part of the next version 1.14 of Grand Utopia. This week, I had time to finish the village of Chaseville which was not entirely finished. So now I just have to create the section of the N4 between Pontiac and Sainte-Marie-sur-Mer.

After that, I will be able to start fixing the reported bugs. By the way, thank you again for using the new bug report form!

As a result, I expect to officially release version 1.14 in early April.

[2] Additions of new VTCs

As usual when I get to the end of the creation of a new version, I start implementing VTCs ordered by the players. So, you could see in my last post some new VTC that will arrive in the next version.

For the time being, here are those currently ready: Blument Market, SABR Logistics, Transports Zephyr, Transports Medina, Tranports L7CFamily, LTG, Sud Provence Logistique, Möbler, Big Al's Big Freight.

I still have a few more to put in place.

[3] Supporting MColo

Our friend MColo has recently released an album, called Metaverse, which I invite you to listen to here to discover his universe. In order to help him and bring him my support, I decided to implement in Grand Utopia a brand new cargo. All Utopian truckers will be able to transport Metaverse albums across our beautiful island. The cargo has been added to many companies, including VTC.

In addition, billboards promoting his album were put up in several places.

[4] Surprise Convoy !

As you have seen, this week was also marked by the publication of a series of 3 videos made in partnership with MColo and L7CFox. We wanted to show Grand Utopia in a new way and I personally hope you enjoyed it!

[5] Changes when ordering VTC

To facilitate the taking of orders, I have taken the time to create two lists that people wishing to set up a VTC on Grand Utopia or Mygotopia can consult:

∟ List of SCS prefabs : This list includes all the prefabs available in the editor and on which it is possible to put a VTC. From now on, the player will be able to visualize and choose precisely the deposit(s) that suit him/her best.

∟ List of cargoes : This list classifies the game's cargoes into 37 categories representing sectors of activity. So, rather than giving me the names of SCS companies (a point that many had trouble understanding when taking orders), it will only be necessary to give me a maximum of 3 sectors of activity, to choose from this list.

[6] Partnership with Yellow from Transports24

This week, a new YouTuber was able to present Mygotopia v0.2 and Grand Utopia v1.13.4. Yellow from Transports24 made 2 lives on his channel that you can watch by following these links:

[7] New visuals for Grand Utopia Express

I have, on a whim, undertaken to redesign the skin and logo of my VTC: Grand Utopia Express. Here is the first draft for the skin, the logo will be reworked during next week.

[8] The Patreon Family is growing!

This week our little family continues to grow. We have passed the 70 member mark. I am truly touched by this and I can't thank you enough for all the support you give me. So once again, thank you very much 🥰

Nous sommes dimanche et il est l'heure de passer en revue les événements de cette semaine passée !

[1] Point mapping

Commençons par la partie mapping de la prochaine version 1.14 de Grand Utopia. Cette semaine, j'ai eu le temps de finir le village de Chaseville qui n'était pas entièrement terminé. À ce jour, il ne me reste donc plus qu'à créer la portion de la N4 entre Pontiac et Sainte-Marie-sur-Mer.

Par la suite, je pourrai m'attaquer à la correction des bugs signalés. D'ailleurs, je vous remercie encore pour l'utilisation du nouveau formulaire de rapport de bug !

Par conséquent, je pense pouvoir publier officiellement la version 1.14 début avril.

[2] Ajouts des nouvelles VTC

Comme à mon habitude lorsque j'arrive à la fin de la création d'une nouvelle version, je commence l'implantation de VTC commandées par les joueurs. Ainsi, vous avez pu voir dans mon dernier post quelques nouvelles VTC qui arriveront dans la prochaine version.

Pour l'heure, voici celles actuellement prêtes : Blument Market, SABR Logistics, Transports Zephyr, Transports Medina, Tranports L7CFamily, LTG, Sud Provence Logistique, Möbler, Big Al's Big Freight.

Ils m'en reste encore quelques autres à mettre en place.

[3] Soutien à MColo

Notre ami MColo a récemment sorti un album, nommé Metaverse, que je vous invite à écouter ici pour découvrir son univers. Afin de l'aider et lui apporter mon soutien, j'ai décidé d'implanter dans Grand Utopia une toute nouvelle cargaisons. L'ensemble des routiers utopiens pourront donc transporter des albums Metaverse à travers notre belle île. La cargaison a été ajoutée à de nombreuses entreprises, dont des VTC.

De plus, des panneaux publicitaires faisant la promotion de son album ont été implantées à plusieurs endroits.

[4] Surprise Convoy !

Vous l'avez vu, cette semaine a également été marquée par la publication d'une série de 3 vidéos réalisées en partenariat avec MColo et L7CFox. Nous voulions faire découvrir Grand Utopia d'une façon inédite et j'espère personnellement que cela vous a plu !

[5] Changements lors de la commande de VTC

Pour faciliter la prise des commandes, j'ai pris le temps de créer deux listes que les personnes souhaitant implanter une VTC sur Grand Utopia ou Mygotopia pourront consulter : 

∟ Liste des prefabs SCS : cette liste reprend l'ensemble des prefabs disponibles dans l'éditeur et sur lesquels il est possible de mettre une VTC. Dorénavant, le joueur pourra donc visualiser et choisir précisément le ou les dépôts qui lui conviennent le plus.

∟ Liste des cargaisons : cette liste classe les cargaisons du jeu parmi 37 catégories représentant des secteurs d'activités. Ainsi, plutôt que de me donner le nom d'entreprises SCS (point qui beaucoup avait du mal à comprendre lors de la prise des commandes), il suffira de me donner au maximum 3 domaines d'activités, à choisir dans cette liste.

[6] Partenariat avec Yellow de Transports24

Cette semaine, un nouveau YouTuber a pu présenter Mygotopia v0.2 et Grand Utopia v1.13.4. Yellow de Transports24 a réalisé 2 lives sur sa chaîne que vous pouvez regarder en suivant ces liens :

[7] Nouveaux visuels pour Grand Utopia Express

J'ai, sur un coup de tête, entrepris de refaire le skin et le logo de ma VTC : Grand Utopia Express. Voici le premier jet pour le skin, le logo sera retravaillé courant semaine prochaine.

[8] La Patreon Family s'agrandit !

Cette semaine, notre petite famille continue de s'agrandir. Nous avons dépassé le seuil des 70 membres. Cela me touche sincèrement et je ne vous remercierai jamais assez pour tout le soutien que vous m'apportez. Donc encore une fois, merci beaucoup 🥰

Enfin, à partir d'aujourd'hui, j'ai décidé de clôturer mes rapports avec un petit message à l'attention des patrons qui nous ont rejoint et des patrons qui nous quittent.
