Weekly Report - January | week #1 (Patreon)

Hello dear Patrons,

I'm inaugurating the first Weekly Report with this article. As promised, you'll get a weekly report on what happened during the past week and the work done on my mod projects. These articles will be published on the Patreon every Sunday. For the general public, once a month, an article covering the last 4 weeks will be posted on the site blog. Let's get started!

[1] Creation of the Grand Utopia "User Guide"

In order to help and inform new users of the Grand Utopia Map, a User Guide has been created. It will now be included in the download archive, instead of the "Read Me" folder. This guide covers the installation, update and optimisation procedures of the game.

[2] Restart of the creation of Mygotopia

Following the release of the Grand Utopia v1.13 compatibility update, I was able to resume mapping on Mygotopia. Currently, I'm working on the city of Windfield. This one is composed of two districts: the city centre which is finished, and of which images have already been communicated to you, and the marina district of which here is a first image.

The latter is almost finished. After that, I will have to create the scenery around Route -1-, between Windfield and Liberty Bay. Once this is done, the first alfa version of Mygotopia can finally be offered to Diamond Club members!

[3] Fixed bugs not supported in Grand Utopia v1.13

After the publication of this version, it turns out that I have, obviously and unfortunately, overwritten some sectors of Grand Utopia on which I had made corrections. To be clearer, most of the bugs I corrected were not taken into account. So I will have to start again the correction work for the next version 1.14 of Grand Utopia. Please excuse me for this small mistake.

[4] FAQ update

The website FAQ has been updated with the addition of two new questions/answers and in particular the creation of a new category: Technical support.

[5] Adding a mod to the Steam Workshop

The Grand Utopia - Official Coloured Background mod has been officially added to the Steam Workshop. You can find it by clicking here.

[6] Renovation of my Patreon page

If you haven't noticed yet, I've made some changes to the main page of my Patreon. The presentation text has been revised and so has the presentation of my projects! It now includes a description in English and in French to suit as many people as possible.

[7] Announcement regarding the modification of the Patreon membership levels

Finally, a post was published recently to let you know that I intend to make some changes to the membership levels available on my Patreon. To summarize these changes in a few lines, I plan to unify the Bronze and Silver levels to have only 3 levels available (4 levels on the Patreon does not suit me from an aesthetic and practical point of view). Finally, I plan to rename the levels to give them more meaning. Thus, the new available levels could be: Official Utopian Patrons (Bronze+Silver) → Sideline Projects Patrons (Gold) → Major Projects Patrons (Diamond). I have taken note of your comments regarding these new names and, obviously, nothing is fixed yet. I will take the time to think about the right new names to give. Once I'm 100% decided, I'll give you some time to adapt and possibly change your rank, before definitively combining the Bronze and Silver levels.

RAPPORT HEBDOMADAIRE - JANVIER | SEMAINE #1

Bonjour chers Patrons,

J'inaugure le premier Weekly Report avec cet article. Comme promis, vous aurez le droit à un compte-rendu hebdomadaire des choses qui se sont passé durant la semaine passé et du travail accompli sur mes projets de mods. Ces articles seront publiés sur le Patreon chaque dimanche. Pour le grand public, une fois par mois, un article reprenant l'ensemble des 4 dernières semaines sera posté sur le blog de site. Commençons !

[1] Création du "Guide Utilisateur" de Grand Utopia

Afin d'aider et d'informer les nouveaux utilisateurs de la Grand Utopia Map, un Guide Utilisateur a été créé. Il sera désormais inclus dans l'archive de téléchargement, en lieu et place du dossier "Lisez-moi". Ce dernier aborde notamment les procédures d'installation, de mise-à-jour et d'optimisation du jeu.

[2] Reprise de la création de Mygotopia

Suite à la publication de la mise-à-jour de compatibilité v1.13 de Grand Utopia, j'ai pu reprendre le mapping sur Mygotopia. Actuellement, je travaille sur la ville de Windfield. Cette dernière est composée de deux quartiers : le centre-ville qui est terminée, et dont des images vous ont déjà été communiquées, et le quartier de la marina dont voici une première image.

Ce dernier est presque fini. Par la suite, il faudra que je crée les décors autour de la Route -1-, entre Windfield et Liberty Bay. Une fois cela fait, la première version alfa de Mygotopia pourra enfin être proposée aux membres du Diamond Club !

[3] Correction des bugs non pris en compte sur la v1.13 de Grand Utopia

Après la publication de cette version, il s'avère que j'ai, visiblement et malencontreusement, écrasé certains secteurs de Grand Utopia sur lesquels j'avais effectué des corrections. Pour être plus clair, la plupart des bugs que j'ai corrigés n'ont pas été pris en compte. Il faudra donc que je recommence le travail de correction pour la prochaine version 1.14 de Grand Utopia. Veuillez m'excuser pour cette petite erreur de manipulation.

[4] Mise-à-jour de la FAQ

La FAQ du site internet a été mise à jour avec l'ajout de deux nouvelles questions/réponses et notamment la création d'une nouvelle catégorie : Support technique.

[5] Ajout d'un mod sur le Steam Workshop

Le mod Grand Utopia - Official Coloured Background a été officiellement ajouté sur le Steam Workshop. Vous pouvez le retrouver en cliquant ici.

[6] Rénovation de ma page Patreon

Si vous ne l'avez pas encore remarqué, j'ai fait quelques modifications au niveau de la page principale de mon Patreon. Le texte de présentation a été revu et la présentation de mes projets également ! Elle intègre désormais une description en anglais et en français pour convenir au plus grand nombre.

[7] Annonce concernant la modification des niveaux d'abonnements du Patreon

Enfin, un post a été publié récemment pour vous faire part de mon intention de faire quelques modifications au niveau des niveaux d'abonnements disponibles sur mon Patreon. Pour résumé en quelques lignes ces changements, je compte unifier les niveaux Bronze et Silver pour n'avoir plus que 3 niveaux disponibles (4 niveaux sur le Patreon ne me convient pas d'un point de vue esthétique et pratique). Enfin, je compte renommer les niveaux pour leur donner plus de sens. Ainsi, les nouveaux niveaux disponibles pourraient être : Official Utopian Patrons (Bronze+Silver) → Sideline Projects Patrons (Gold) → Major Projects Patrons (Diamond). J'ai bien pris note de vos remarques concernant ces nouveaux noms et, évidemment, rien n'est encore fixé. Je prendrai le temps nécessaire pour réfléchir aux bons nouveaux noms à donner. Une fois que je serai décidé à 100 %, je vous laisserai un temps d'adaptation pour éventuellement changer de grade, avant de définitivement réunir les niveaux Bronze et Silver.

C'est tout pour ce tout premier Weekly Report. J'espère que vous apprécierez ce nouveau format d'informations. Il est évident que je continuerai de partager d'autres éléments avec vous, en dehors de ces rapports hebdomadaires ! Pas d'inquiétudes à avoir ^^
