It's Friday and time to review the events of the past week!

💠 GRAND UTOPIA

🔰 New VTC

A new company has joined the Utopian economy this week. The Transperche company has joined our archipelago, setting up near Monteil, in the heart of the island of Grand Utopia. We wish them every success in this new professional adventure!

💠 MYGOTOPIA

🔰 HW-2

In Mygotopia, construction of the new HW-2 motorway is progressing well. At present, there are still 4/5 km to be mapped out before we reach the site of the future city of Kamelot!

An area with an unobstructed panoramic view was created this week. I invite you to discover it in the gallery of this post where several screenshots are waiting for you.

In any case, this stretch of motorway will be super easy on the eyes! I can't wait to finish it and start creating Kamelot 😍

💠 MORE AMERICAN CITIES

🔰 California

Since the last report, I've been thinking a lot about the More American Cities mod series. I feel that this series of mods doesn't get enough exposure, and that's normal, as they're paid mods. So it's difficult to promote them. At the moment, the only way to find out about these mods is to visit Grand Utopia's Discord server, its website or my Patreon.

I was looking for a way to remedy this and quickly realised that the best way to make a mod known is to make it freely available. That's why I decided to create a free edition of More American Cities: the California edition.

This will make it possible to publish this edition all over TruckyMods, on the forums and so on. Players will be able to discover the concept of the More American Cities series and get a feel for it.

Of course, the aim is to show the ATS community what a More American Cities mod is and what it can offer in terms of gaming experience, in the hope that some players will decide to take the plunge and obtain other editions of the series.

Why California? Because it's the original state of the game, the first one to be made available, so it seemed logical to select it. Also, as you know, California is currently being reworked by SCS Software, which means I can publish this edition in several versions as the remaining phases are completed.

In terms of content, California is a fairly vast state, so there are plenty of decorative towns to choose from. The first version of this edition, which focuses on the reworked areas, will enable the activation of 40 towns, as listed below:

The creation of this edition will involve many hours of unpaid work, but I'm sure it will help to raise the profile of the series and thus promote the paying editions. It's also possible that I'll split the cake and publish a first version with 'only' twenty or so towns.

Work began this week with the activation of 7 towns: Alturas, Avenal, Benton, Big Bend, Bishop, Five Points and Santa Margarita.

I haven't taken a screenshot of the map, but I can already share with you the thumbnail of this edition!

For your information, and following on from what I announced earlier, I'm suspending the creation of the Washington edition for the time being in order to concentrate on the California edition.

💠 GRAND UTOPIA

🔰 Nouvelle VTC

Cette semaine, l'économie utopienne s'est encore enrichie d'une nouvelle entreprise. La société Transperche a rejoint notre archipel en s'installant à proximité de Monteil, au coeur de l'île de Grand Utopia. On leur souhaite beaucoup de réussite dans cette nouvelle aventure professionnelle !

💠 MYGOTOPIA

🔰 HW-2

Du côté de Mygotopia, la construction de la nouvelle portion d'autoroute HW-2 avance bien. Actuellement, il reste 4/5 km à mapper pour arriver à l'emplacement de la future ville de Kamelot !

Une zone avec vue panoramique dégagée a été créé cette semaine. Je vous invite à la découvrir dans la galerie de ce post où plusieurs screenshots vous attendent.

En tout cas, cette portion d'autoroute sera super agréable pour les yeux ! J'ai hâte de la terminer pour commencer la création du Kamelot 😍

💠 MORE AMERICAN CITIES

🔰 California

J'ai beaucoup réfléchis depuis le dernier rapport à la série de mods More American Cities. En effet, je trouve que cette série de mods ne dispose pas d'assez de visibilité et c'est normal, il s'agit de mods payants. Il est donc difficile de faire d'en faire la promotion. Actuellement, la seule possibilité de découvrir ces mods est de naviguer sur le serveur Discord de Grand Utopia, son site internet ou sur mon Patreon.

Je cherchais un moyen de remédier à cela et rapidement je me suis rendu compte que le meilleur moyen de faire connaître un mod est de le proposer en accès libre. C'est pourquoi j'ai décidé de créer une édition gratuite de More American Cities : l'édition California.

Cela permettra de publier cette édition un peu partout sur TruckyMods, sur les forums, etc. Les joueurs pourront eux découvrir le concept de la série More American Cities et s'en faire une idée.

Bien sûr, l'objectif est de montrer à la communauté ATS ce qu'est un mod More American Cities et ce qu'il peut offrir en terme d'expérience de jeu et ce dans l'espoir que certains joueurs décident de sauter le pas pour obtenir d'autres éditions de la série.

Pourquoi la Californie ? Parce qu'il s'agit de l'état originel du jeu, le premier qui fut disponible, et cela me semblait donc logique de le sélectionner. Aussi comme vous le savez, la Californie est actuellement en cours de rework par SCS Software, cela me permet de publier cette édition en plusieurs versions au fil des phases restantes.

Au niveau contenu, le Californie étant un état assez vaste, beaucoup de villes décoratives sont présentes. Le première version de cette édition, qui se concentre donc sur les zones retravaillées, permettra l'activation de 40 villes dont voici la liste :

La création de cette édition va représenter de nombreuses heures de travail non rémunérées mais je suis certain que cela aidera à faire connaître la série et donc permettra de promouvoir les éditions payantes. Il est d'ailleurs possible que je coupe la poire en deux pour publier une première version avec "seulement" une vingtaine de ville.

Le travail a d'ailleurs commencé cette semaine avec l'activation de 7 villes : Alturas, Avenal, Benton, Big Bend, Bishop, Five Points et Santa Margarita.

Je n'ai pas pris de screenshot de la map mais je peux d'ores-et-déjà partager avec vous la miniature de cette édition !
