The concept of this character is she's an ordinary high school girl who turns into a tanuki when she discovers a magic leaf. Turns out her grandfather was a tanuki so it's in the blood. Now she has to master the art of shape-shifting (which tanukis can totally do) if she's going to have any hope of returning to her ordinary human life.
