Holden looks like he's seen some rough stuff. His inspiration came from Russ who described him like this:

A slender vulpine with white/light fur and a black chevron stripe across their face starting on the cheeks going up and over eyes and ending on forehead between eyes, a scratched out/scarred up right eye, lightweight darker coloured simple sleeveless leather armor, a few scars running up both arms and neck, a beaten up shield strapped to his left arm, with a large bearded axe strapped to his back.
