Recently I've been thinking of the Star Wars Prequel trilogy. Mostly because it's a textbook example of a poorly written romance plot. Where I think it went wrong is that the characters' lacked developed common interests to serve as the basis of their relationship. Real emotional romance (beyond mere mutual physical attraction) requires friendship.

So I've made things a little difficult for myself by making Kyle an amnesiac who may or may not have a hidden agenda. Also this is the first time I'm writing a full-on romantic A plot. Long story short getting in all the necessary character establishment is making thing take more pages than I initially intended  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ .
