I originally wrote Cody's story to be a little kinder to the people who forced him into quasi slavery. The original story was made give the Hillan mobs a heroic bit where they'd save the slaves. But I realized there's no reason the slaves couldn't save themselves and there's no reason to be kind to slavers.

I thought of getting into the logistics of travel to Issa. I don't know if I've ever really gotten into how islands in LK are transient. Long story short I decided against it since it doesn't move the dating story forward at all.
