Raiju

The raiju was a dog like creature with power over lightning, after the creature was obliterated in some unknown cataclysm its tail alone survived. Without a body the tail laid dormant for hundreds of years until it was found by an ordinary human girl. the tail attached itself to the girls body, giving her the form and powers of the mythical raiju.
