This week I finally got to watching Slayers Evolution-R. I was delighted by the series' inclusion of a new character Nama, who is a amnesiac wizard who's soul has been transferred to a suit of armor. I started drawing her here but decided instead that I prefer a conical face mask. Maybe because it makes her looks a bit more like a fox.

Weird Willa

Just trying Willa in some different odd configurations. the ones with the heavy shadows are meant to indicate that she's been turned into the highly reflective metal Willa.

Dark Star

This week I took it upon myself to finally tag all the Backer Based Adventurers I've posted on this Patreon, while doing so I came across a sketch I'd done of a set of twin cats one who was black with a white spot and one who was white with a black spot. I decided to revisit the concept in what became a super heroine, Dark Star.

Dark Star aka Blaire St. Croix was a graduate student of Astro Physics working on her PhD alone one night at her university's observatory where she witnessed a seemingly normal star inexplicably go super nova. Stranger still all the readouts bore the same black cross shape that shouldn't be possible. 

 Then the observatory exploded. Blaire awoke in the hospital that morning somehow unharmed, but she soon noticed a black cross shape like the one she had seen at the observatory had appeared on her chest. Stranger still when she tried to show her doctors the cross it would move quickly to hide from them.

Over the following days Blaire observed that the shape, which she named Spot, had a life of its own. It could move to any point on her body but never leave it. Sometimes it would change her body where it moved making her stronger, instantly healing minor wounds, and allowing her to project strange glowing energy.

With some practice Blaire could get Spot to cover her whole body pretty much at will. Finding herself with a secret identity and super powers Blaire decided she might as well become a super hero.
