Changes to patreon tiers and commissions (Patreon)
Content
It's been coming for a while, but it's time for me to change things up. I've had vague ideas for what I wanted to do a long time, but not a concrete plan. Primarily I don't really like the current "pay for a chance at a commission" system, but I also want to make working on more ambitious personal projects a bigger priority in my schedule.
I still plan on taking regular commissions in roughly the same manner, but starting next month the commission openings will be open to anyone and not require pledging. I'm sure a lot of you will be pretty happy about that, but with patreon no longer essentially subsidizing commissions, the rates will be going up to $50 a slot. Commissions currently in progress can be finished at the old rate, as long as they're still within the original specs. There'll still be one last round of commissions this month a little for the people currently pledged to the $10 tier.
The existing 10$ tier with discord access will be changed to something cheaper, something like $2 or $3, or dissolved entirely. I'll be discussing it with the discord until then.
I've also decided that I want to more seriously work on my game, and that means allocating time towards developing it on a regular basis. I'm adding a new capped tier where every pledge will go towards an hour spent working on assets on stream. I suppose it's sort of a strange set up for a game-patreon set up, but it's worked well for me in the past and I hope you'll support me in this endeavor.
