This week I can finally give some readers what they've requested: we have fancy new blueprints for the main three characters! Huge thanks to Lamsey for all his work on these. ^-^

I know soulhomes are a bit complex for a magic system, especially when the main characters use more complex designs. Hopefully these blueprints will help those having trouble visualizing or answer questions. These represent the characters at the end of the fifth book.

Nauda is first because her redesign is so central to the book. As you can see, it's three towers, but different designs for each tower. Theo continues to fill in his regimented and precise blueprint. Hopefully this will make it clear why, though he could ascend to Authority if he really pushed, he isn't going to rush. Fiyu is doing the least, but you can see her Corporeal Floor layout, which sets her up for a ton of soulcrafting in the sixth book.

Feel free to ask any questions, otherwise enjoy!

Ah I was confused about Fiyu’s corporeal floor layout and how that somehow translated to 9 rooms. Nice.

james apfel

Thanks! I couldn’t keep track of Leo’s filled rooms so I was hoping for something like this (although I still can’t remember what all the 2nd floor elements do).

Nathan Rice

Doesn't Theo have the stone from the Chasm of Lamentations on his third floor as well?

Lamsey

It's in the clothing room along with the blackflint - book 5, chapter 11.

sarahlin

Yeah, the problem with complex designs is that they're a pain to describe in text. Hopefully this clarifies.

Jerek Kimble

He hasn’t placed the voidflint yet. Just realized it’s gonna cut him every time

Lamsey

Bloodcrete ch. 1: "With more work, his voidflint could fill another enhancement chamber, making all of his skills more lethal."

goi

Would guess that the voidflint would probably be best between the clothing and chaosgem for a death column for it final position since it has a similar effect to the Deathdust in the first floor, similar to how he wanted something to do with spinning with the chaosgem, the diagram does miss out the tunnelegg, voidflint, inertialvoid since not rooms yet and I am missing a main material or Sarah miscounted in Bloodcrete chapter 1

Runcible Technician

Tiny Nauda and graffiti on the shieldwall. Nice touches.

I don't even remember death dust or what what was even supposed to do. I guess somethings don't come up as much as others. Didn't all three of them have a 9 World's Feast?

Anthony Gallegos

Apologies if this was already answered, but how many floors are associated/available with each stage of advancement? I kept thinking there’d be 9 floors by dominion, or is that incorrect?

Lamsey

Each stage of advancement corresponds to a tier of soulhome space. Dominion is the sixth tier. There are more details in the Solucrafting 201 tutorial: https://www.reddit.com/r/TheBrightestShadow/comments/pma180/soulhome_architecture_201_ascension_with_theo/

Lamsey

The deathdust enhances his other techniques with its intensely lethal cantae. It replaced the old Deuxan trophy room on his first floor in chapter 5 of Chasmfall. It's depicted as a ring because he used a lesser sublime material, orbitstone, to contain it.

Lamsey

The anchoring technique is the one you're missing - it's briefly mentioned in Bloodcrete chapter 4 and in Chasmfall chapter 5, but he hasn't found the right materials for that room yet.

Jerek Kimble

And it’s been suggested that each group of 3 floors represents a ‘phase’, so the jump from 3 to 4 and 6 to 7 is a difficult one. But yeah, Ruler is 3, Authority 4, Stronghold 5, Dominion 6. Everything after is unknown

goi

Thanks for letting me know what it was I was missing

Kyle

Wow these are really great! Thanks so much for sharing such cool bonus stuff!

Corwin

I wonder if Nauda can use the Heart Oak to build the bridge between her Towers. Taking cuttings and creating a living bridge

BaguaBrady

these are great and bring good imagery to the soul crafting chapters. I'd love to see the cantae flow chart for Nauda in particular as it seems quite complex

sarahlin

We haven't really done cantae flow charts for these blueprints, but I could if there's patron interest!

Could you tag this as Soulcrafting Tutorial? It isn't one, but it's useful to look at
