Render Month starts (mostly) with flats. Flatting is the most tedious part of the process and I'm focusing on that before I get to the fun stuff. If you've never flatted before, it's a method developed for coloring comics quickly. Instead of coloring in the lines, you create blocks of color and then lay the lines over them. It was this process that helped me first develop my no-line style, because you would get interesting imagery if you just turned off the lines.
