The Future of this Patreon (Patreon)

A new art post is coming tomorrow, and I wanted to give everyone a heads up. (Just incase christmas wasn't very kind to you, and you cannot afford the coming charge) This upcoming collection of work will contain many sketches from the 20.00 tier, some muscley ladies, jinx with four arms, some well endowed Adult Toph, cute chicks I've been animating, pixel art, etc. I'd like to be more specific, but I'm writing this news post at work and can't look at the files right now. I just wanted you to know that this patreon will be going through an immense change in January.

Firstly, all of the teirs above 1.00 are going to disappear. I have not been able to keep up with the teir rewards, and I do not feel comfortable charging extra for promises I am unsure that I can keep. The PSDs for example have not been posted largely due to the fact that I have no where to put them, there are multiple versions and they are enormous. If you want to pay more than 1.00, go for it. I'd love it if you would, but I'm not going to make promises I can't keep.

Secondly, finished content will not be exclusive to Patreon anymore. I have to admit that I am disgusted with myself for putting any of my work behind a pay wall. Not only did it prevent people from seeing what I made, but less people seeing my work means less commissions and support on Patreon. It was a chinese fingertrap of sorts.

This begs the question, "Why would anyone donate to Morganagod's patreon?" Simple. While nothing will be behind a paywall, the higher my Patreon goes the more time I can justify devoting to making art. You're simply guaranteeing a steadier pace of creation and therefore a greater amount of work.

My expenses; rent, student loans, food, etc. Are all currently paid for by my jobs. However, my jobs consumes the lion share of my time. Currently, I work both at a theater as the head projectionist, and as part time animator. (Though I'm really just clean-up. I'm not really animating anything.) It's true that time is money, and cutting hours, or taking time away from work cuts in to my ability to support myself.It's just a shitty fact of being an adult. My art output has plummeted since college because of it. If I can only devote a few hours on the weekend to making art, then I will make much less art in comparison to devoting an entire week to making art.

Which brings me to the third change.

Thirdly, this Patreon will become a monthly Patreon. It needs to be a consistent form of income in order to justify pulling back on my other regular paying jobs and since I will be making work regularly, it makes more sense to be monthly. Rest assured that if I ever stop making work for an extended period of time, this Patreon won't charge you.

I am adamant about people getting what they pay for, hence the cancellation of teirs above 1.00, and why there hasn't been a post since september. I've been making work. I have it to share. I just have not had the time to do 15 decent images every month. If you've seen me stream my art, you would know some of my work can take a few hours. There have been times I've been tempted to put out some half-assed art, or very few sketches to earn some money on this Patreon. I mean, I'm not gonna lie: I've REALLY needed some extra cash. However, I think that fucks me over in the long run. I wouldn't support that behaviour, and neither should you. As I mentioned before, It's important to me that people get what they pay for.

So with all of these changes WHAT exactly will you be supporting?

Pin Ups, Paintings, Comics, Smut (yes, smut is returning), Game Reviews on Youtube (probably the least interesting to you guys I bet), and streaming on Twitch and Picarto. Twitch will have game streams and SFW art. Picarto will have smut art streams. Regardless of what I'm making, being a patron means that I'll be communicating with you about what's coming down the pipeline.

There will be news posts, thumbnails, rough sketches, concept work, and other flotsam and jetsam that doesn't really belong on Tumblr or Deviant Art.

And we'll begin this communication here with a brief description of a comic I'm working on.

After the change and for the next couple of months I am going to be focusing on a smut comic I've tentativly titled "The Conception of Lin Beifong."

This porn parody was inspired by a tweet where a creator on the show said that Azula was Lin's father. The Wan episodes established that when a spirit merges with a human, physical features from the spirit can manifest on the possesed human and stay there. So in this comic Azula has communed with the spirits to learn how to take away someone's bending using lightning, and the spirit she learned it from also left her a "gift." Dick.

Armed with a tallywacker, and new found bending prowess Azula has decided to take her revenge on the Avatar by siring a powerful heir with the most powerful bender. Azula ambushes a very well endowed Older Toph and knocks her out using a suprise shot of lightning. When Toph awakes, she cannot use her seismic sense to see. Azula explains that she's taken away Toph's bending and offers to restore that bending if Toph allows her to "father" a child. Toph reluctantly agrees, and antics ensue.

A preview of this comic will be in the upcoming post. It will feature the rough first 1/3 of the comic. None of these pages are colored, only seven of these pages have actually been completely drawn, and the rest are shitty thumbnails, but they'll be there and you'll know where I'm going with it.

If you're wondering why I am doing smut again, it's because that it seems like the law I was worried about is in specific reference to actual videos and real life photos. The idea is that if someone is paid to star in a porn then they are essentially a prostitute, and since prostitution is illegal, so is porn. However, drawings seems to circumvent that issue, so I don't think it applies to hentai as long as those depicted are OBVIOUSLY over 18. However, if I'm informed otherwise, I will promptly stop making smut again.
