You won't be charged for August

I changed the patreon to "per cheesecake batch" to prevent anyone getting charged for August.  I'm going to be moving, taking a little vacation, and catching up on things that I owe. I don't want to be one of those patreon creators that just takes your money like some kind of leech.

If you're wondering how this "per cheesecake batch" thing prevents a charge for august; when you switch to "per item" a check box in the stuff that a creator posts appears. That checkbox says "charge patrons." If it remains unchecked, patrons aren't charged. If your patreon is set to "per month" it just charges regardless of the creator's will.

I am going to keep it this way for a while to make sure I don't fall behind again.

Don't worry about me though.  I took precautions. I took on a brief photo editting gig for a jewelry website. It's a bit intense, because the client is very particular about what she wants, and a single image takes, like, 2 hours, BUT it pays very well. (I just can't make much art, which is kind of a bummer.) So I am financially set through august. That's what I've been doing these past couple of weeks.

There is going to be another art stream on the 26th, and then I will be in the midst of my move.

Coming soon...

I don't remember if I said it here, but one thing I'm pushing towards is prints. By October (hopefully) there's going to be a print tier where I will send 11"x17" prints of the cheesecake I make.

The only thing that's prevented me from doing it now is how picky I am about quality, how much it costs to have a good print, and the available printing places near me.

Without getting to verbose, in order to get the quality I want at the price I want, I need to purchase a decent printer, and the right paper because I am not happy with the local print shops. That's gonna take some saving and some fund raising, but I eventually want to have an actual physical thing that people are getting for supporting me.

In the meantime my promises and mea culpas will have to do.  See you on the 26th.
