In this tutorial I'll show you how you can print my maps at actual size (1 square = 1 inch) using your home printer.

Most of my maps are bigger than the standard letter or A4 size paper you'd commonly use at home, thus we'll have to print them over multiple pages.

The first step is to download the PDF files of your chosen map. Attached to this post you'll find a .zip file with some sample PDFs for you to follow along; Other PDFs are now available on each map's Patreon reward post. For this tutorial I've used my Riverside Forest Path battle map.

After downloading the PDFs, open the variant of your choosing using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. If you don't have it installed already on your computer you can download it by clicking here.

Once in Adobe Reader click on "File" on the menu bar and then on "Print...".

And now for the important step: Click the "Poster" button located on Page Sizing and Handling section of the print dialog. This will make the map print at it's actual size over multiple pages.

On the right side of the print dialog you can see a preview of how the map is going to be printed. In this particular case, the map will be printed across 12 individual letter size pages.

Finally, click the "Print" button and wait for your printer to do its job.

After it's finished you should have a stack of pages that you can cut and then tape or glue together to make one big battle map! I recommend gluing them to some heavier stock to make the map more durable. You can even use transparent Contact paper to protect it further.

Please do note that the quality of the print is determined by your printer, ink, and paper. Mine tends to darken the maps a bit for example.

And that's it! You can now enjoy the maps either digitally on virtual tabletops or physically on your own table.
