I've already uploaded the node groups in a previous post if you don't want to make them yourself (I also posted a patreon exclusive tutorial explaining the math/logic behind them) ;)

Really awesome tutorial- really well paced and laid out. Thanks for highlighting the different coordinate mappings of an object (eg sphere) and world shader. Do you know if it’s possible to do motion tracking of 360 video in blender? Some googling (not sure I’m using the right terms) resulted in it looking like there’s no camera position solver for panoramic cameras. Or maybe it’s easier to use a separate thing to get the camera track? Like recording from a phone taped to the selfie stick, or try the AR tracker app from the hitfilm team… ideas are easier to come up with than making time to try them!!! Love to hear your thoughts on this!

so first of all: other software (syntheyes) can do this. but the important thing is HOW. basically what it does it track a portion of the 360 view and use that solve for the whole camera. key insight being: you can render out just one view of your 360 video (you get to choose the angle that would be the easiest to track), track that, apply the camera location/rotation to your 360 camera. you can take this even further by perhaps doing multiple solves and then averaging out the motion of those cameras maybe...

That makes sense. Will have to give that a try! Thanks!
