This is a trixel+ early access post that will be posted on the Trixel Creative website later!

Welcome to the final Trixel Creative Quarterly Recap of the year! And what a year it's been. As we begin 2022, let's take a look at what we got up in the final quarter of 2021, shall we?

trixel+ anniversary

We kicked off the quarter with a bang, with our month-long celebration of trixel+'s first anniversary.

We began the month by releasing a limited-time exclusive $2.50 tier of trixel+ that came with a physical trixel+ anniversary sticker. We originally limited the tier to 15 slots, but due to popular demand, we expanded it to 30! If you've been a recipient of these stickers, we'd love to see what you've done with them, so don't be afraid to tag us on Twitter @Trixel_Creative, using the hashtag #TrixelPlus!

On top of the launch of The Grandiose Tales of Cpt. Stuffy, we released an additional page to celebrate the occasion. A more in-depth look at this new creation will be featured later on in this post.

We commissioned a lovely anniversary graphic for the event, which was featured in two wallpapers (one exclusive to trixel+), as well as all of the promotional art and, of course, the aforementioned stickers.

We launched a Community Poll that allowed trixel+ subscribers to pick out a Developer Diary to be made free to the public! In this poll, you chose the Restitched: Dev Diary | The Craftbook post! You can read that post here.

We then released a second limited-time exclusive $6 tier of trixel+ that came with a physical Stuffy's Craftbook! Subscribers to this tier could pick out any color they desired, out of our default Pink, Orange, Blue, Yellow, and Green. We are yet to ship these, but rest assured, they will be with you soon!

Last but not least, we released an additional Anniversary Stamp Preview! Yet another insight into the Construction Mode of Restitched. This marks the first time we have released four Stamp Previews for a single quarter.

The Grandiose Launch of Cpt. Stuffy

October 2021 marked the launch of our first ever comic, The Grandiose Tales of Cpt. Stuffy!

As stated, we kicked off the launch month with two pages, releasing one a month since then! We've loved hearing your feedback so far, especially all the love for Cpt. Stuffy's timid side-kick, Puddles! Who can resist that fluffy yellow ducky? You can look forward to Puddles' debut in page 6, scheduled for February 2022!

The first page was released exclusively on trixel+ on October 7, and publicly on October 14 - the same day that page two was released on trixel+. You can view the public post of page one here.

We're so proud of our team, and especially our artist Ari Muños Marín for the amount of love, work, and dedication behind the project. Cpt. Stuffy's journey has only just begun, and we can't wait for you to see what awaits Cpt. Stuffy in the new year. We've heard it's going to be action-packed!

Stuffy's Frightful Halloween!

For the grand finale of our spectacular October, Stuffy once again donned a spooky outfit to celebrate Halloween. This month, our plush pal decided to dress up as a shark!

This marks two Halloween get-ups so far, adding to the Grim Reaper that we posted in October 2020. Speaking of the Grim Reaper, last year's Halloween promo image was re-touched for this year, and now features a background created in-game (as seen above)!

Developer Diaries Galore!

Our aim is to release a Developer Diary every month, though sometimes we fall short of this goal. Not this quarter, however! This quarter, we released:

  • Restitched: Dev Diary | Crafting Cpt. Stuffy - This Developer Diary outlined the initial creation process of The Grandiose Tales of Cpt. Stuffy. How did we choose the designs for the characters? How did we create the Key Art? We also updated this Dev Diary in November, answering another question: how did we design the logo?
  • Restitched: Dev Diary | Cosmetic Creation - In this Developer Diary, we gave readers an insight into the creation of Stuffy's cosmetic items and costumes! This Developer Diary featured concepts of 30+ Stuffy costumes, and revealed four never-before-seen outfits, too!
  • Restitched: Dev Diary | Team Interview #2 - Our team loves to do these Developer Diaries, as they allow an official channel for our developers to reach out to the community, answering their questions, as well as stating anything they so desire!

What Dev Diaries will Q1 2022 have in store? We currently have three lined up (that we can't yet reveal because of reasons), and they're all very exciting!

trixel+ survey

In November 2022, we hosted a survey for our trixel+ subscribers. We love these surveys, as they allow us to learn about our community and listen to their feedback. Your responses to this survey inspired further changes and improvements to our platform, such as...

Restitched: Recapped!

The latest trixel+ survey made it clear that you want more transparency from us. Rest assured, we heard you! As such, we've launched a brand-new feature titled 'Restitched: Recapped!'.

This new feature offers a more relaxed and casual look into the most recent month's developments on the game. These features are exclusive to trixel+ for two weeks, before being made public on the Trixel Creative website. You can read the first feature here.

We're excited to share more about the game's development with you all, but we ask you to remember that there are still surprises and secrets to be held tight! We hope you'll enjoy these new insights into our team's incredible work process!

New and Improved Website

As we grow and evolve, it's important that our website grows with us! In December we unveiled our brand-new website, which we completely remade from scratch on a new platform. With this update comes many quality of life improvements, such as faster loading times, mobile view optimizations, animated elements, widescreen support, proper image scaling, and more!

You can go take a look at the all-new trixelcreative.com right now!

...and there we go!

That's what we've been up to for the final quarter of 2021! What do you think? We think it's definitely been jam-packed. We hope you had a wonderful 2021, and that 2022 holds many lovely surprises for you all.

Happy New Year!
