Hey everyone, I just felt like sharing some thoughts. I wanted to share that this is my favorite part of the process… just sketching around and playing with the brush strokes until I find the pose/composition I love the most 😊

My mind totally disconnects from my surroundings when I’m doing this 😁

I have to admit that I would call this a “finished art piece”, according to my style.

Happy weekend!

You do greyscale to color? I've tried it, but when I do it it looks terrible.

Yeah, at first it was difficult, but eventually learned the trick. I first draw in grayscale, then set that layer blending mode to "Multiply" and add layers at the bottom to add color... will try to add some additional screenshots to this post 👍

I think it's interesting to see how you do this, but I'll probably stick to my own way of coloring. I'm more used to it by now.

There, I added more screenshots - In the second one, you can see I duplicated the layer, so the dark tones are darker. Also, added layer below, for the different colors (one for the skin, another one for the eyes, and so on…) - In the third one, I modified that layer, so the shadows have a blue-green hue - In the fourth one, same thing, but for the lights… a smooth yellow hue - In the fifth one, I just played around with the hue of the skin color layer (made it a warmer green) Hope you like it!

Ah, yes that is interesting. I've pretty much had to learn to color on my own, from YT tutorials. I hope I might be able to take an actual course at some point. Here's the last thing I colored, if you're interested: https://www.deviantart.com/jb4c/art/Female-Tiefling-940069290

Man, that looks great! Would love to learn the technique you use to apply color 👍

Oh, thank you. I learned coloring mostly from MikeyMegamega's tutorials. I also support him on Patreon. He has some great drawing reference sheets: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5CmbYObH_w&t=1938s
