Maya was a guard dog for a royal family in a distant land. After getting caught in a series of lewd situations with Freya Vix both were kicked out to fend for themselves.  

Maya protected Freya as they wandered the land and snuck into places looking for food and shelter. Eventually they stumbled across Annie's boutique and Annie hired Maya to protect and guard it!

Also Annie got really horny when she saw Maya bending over, that probably had something to do with it.
