Hello again, everyone!

Another week, another long running sci-fi series stuffing a new show into an earlier part of its timeline. Previously, we reimagined the show theme songs for both Andor and Boba Fett based on their relative positions in not only the lore's timeline, but in ours as well. Andor takes place before A New Hope, therefore it would have come out in the 70s if it had been produced in chronological order. I think you get it.

At any rate, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds takes place seven years before The Original Series, which would place it in 1959. We had to explore what separates the swinging sci fi '60s from the bombastic sci fi '50s, but hopefully we were able to land in the right spot. The 1959 version is also a faithful rendition of Jeff Russo's SNW theme, which itself is an homage to Alexander Courage's iconic TOS theme. So I guess that makes this a reverse engineered double triple homage?

Of course it wouldn't be complete if we didn't give the visuals a period appropriate retro overhaul as well, which out of principal had to include shooting a model of the original ST pilot episode's Enterprise. We'll include the full cast/credit list of our amazing collaborators in the YT release tomorrow. For now, please enjoy the video, along with the attached soundtrack to SNW 1959!

Love,

Craven + Zak
