Hey everyone!

As we spend a little time cooling off from Episode 7, we've got our eyes on some other projects to mix things up in the meantime. One of them is an upcoming Matrix video, which we teased in our most recent podcast.

However, during the making of the video, we discovered something interesting. Classic Auralnauts. Making videos that are the result of making other videos. In this case, it involves the scene from Matrix: Reloaded where Neo fights multiple smiths for the first time, otherwise known as The Burly Brawl. The official score in the theatrical release is a collaboration between composer Don Davis and electronic artist Juno Reactor. When messing around with the Blu-ray, however, it turns out the orchestral parts are somewhat separated from the electronic parts. Essentially a Don Davis track combined with a Juno Reactor track.

So here is a video with the Juno Reactor parts muted, and the Don Davis score pumped up. As an added bonus, the CGI has been color corrected to give it more of an integrated feel, because why not. This is going to remain a Patreon exclusive because YT will NOT let us post it, no matter how we dispute it.

Hope you enjoy this! Stay tuned for the aforementioned Matrix video. Oh! And mark your calendars. On Sunday, January 30th we will host a movie watch party, featuring Jeff Speakman's Perfect Weapon. We will announce the start time very soon.

Love,

Craven + Zak

The Matrix Revolutions Burly Brawl Minus Juno Reactor

Taking a quick break from comedy to offer this fascinating alt version of the score from the classic scene. We're fans of the collaborative between Davis and Juno Reactor, but after experimenting with the mix using semi-isolated orchestral and electronic elements we felt it was just too interesting to not share.

So I watched it before reading the description and I was a little confused at the end because it seemed like just a normal, unedited clip from the movie--I didn't know there was supposed to be electronic music in there as well! It really seemed just fine like this XD
