I've attached a bunch of variations, as well as a gif of those variations put together to make it look like the lava demon's hardened bits fade away as she warms up. And for finally naming these two - what about Ifrys and Iika? Or maybe Iiva so it's more like Shiva. Iika just sounds like a variation of ice with a little crystal edge to it. (Or I could just be honest and call her Pseudo-Shiva. Pffft.) Oh and the gif is a little big. 11mb.

Maybe she just gets so hot when she's aroused that the hardened bits actually melt back into her body. :O Poor Pseudo-Shiva's in danger of going from ice type to water type.

Definitely makes sense. :D Her temperature fluctuation is what makes the rock armor appear, and arousal is definitely on the hot side of things. Also, come to think of it, this would make combat an interesting thing for her - since she'd want to maintain her cool to keep her armor up, but be able to concentrate heat in her hands, feet or horns for attack purposes. And as far as Shiva/Iika goes, don't worry - she's durable. :3 She refreezes quickly and has resist fire magic enchantments in case things get a little too...heated.
