“Come prima” is Italian, and Xavé pronounced it correctly when she was saying it in a Spanish-like way! It’s used as a directive in music. It means “as before” - in other words, to repeat in the same manner as the first time. The title “ON” is an intentional reversal of the title of BTS’ 2013 single “NO.” NO was about struggling against an oppressive system, while ON is about how they have stood firmly for seven years by embracing their pain and shadows and moving forward despite personal and external challenges. The Kinetic Manifesto film expresses this manifesto/statement not only through words, but in kinetic form, meaning movement - in this case, via dance. The dance practice not only shows the intricate choreography in more detail, but also brings a different energy that is really worth watching. I also highly recommend watching the “ON Commentary Film: Dialogue” video on the BANGTANTV YouTube channel, which is an official documentary under 20 minutes long on the making of the song. It features a diverse range of artists who participated in making the song, including the UCLA Bruin Marching Band and gospel choir, who discuss their work and what BTS means to them. I think you’ll really appreciate it as musicians and performers yourselves!
