Best April's Fools thing ever

I love the Lupin anime from the 70s (though when I read the manga, I was really weirded out by how bloodthirsty he was), but I was never aware of this film. And yeah... it is just weird. It was made in the 70s, so I guess insanity is to be expected, but I agree that an origin story wasn't really necessary, and giving Lupin powers is just an unbelievably dumb move. And I really wish the film had been more focused on a big heist and not wacky hijinks with assassins.
