Bicep armor + a Spartan finger ring (Patreon)

My dear patreon members, here are 2 more "updates" :)

I first have to say i love playing with 3d scan data, makes things much easier to put into scale and perspective :)

So the first “update” is another part of the Bat's armor - the bicep armor.

As per usual i added several options to print, so now you have

- 1 with straps combined / 3d printable
- 2 without “straps” to use with a real life fabric/strap and buckle
- options 1 and 2 with and without stitches

- 3d printable fidlock - optimized for filament 3d printing

There has been talk to make the bicep parts with “fabric texture detail” but the reason i didn’t add those (At least yet) is bcs texturing such high poly details will cause a single file to be over 500-600 MB in in fie size, even after print optimization and that will crash most slicers on most pc’s out there. So i don’t see a point of adding a file that will not be usable. I will still explore this option a bit, see what can be done :)

Another “project” i added for you is the Spartan finger ring - this is something that i have been working on several years ago when exploring 3d printable jewelry, but never made it fully printable or at least not in a way i would be happy with, so it was never released. Until now.

Using my 3d scanner i figured i’d show you what a 1:1 scale on a jewelry type thing would look like. This is also an intro to one of the questions i have for you ..............

Would you, my dear community members, be interested in jewelry type design 3d models for 3d printing ? and if so what kind ? please comment bellow :)

As an intro to jewelry 3d models i have provided a sizing chart/spreadsheet that works both in mm and inch, and a sizing 3d model with instructions on how to use it in the slicer - you don’t even have to print it out to get the sizing right.

Now with all that added, i to have to mention, since its vacation time of the year, i will be taking few days of “vacation” here in Croatia, visiting one of our lovely islands. If you ever plan to visit Croatia hit me up, i can recommend places, and perhaps we can even meet up, that would be nice :)

I’m still having my laptop with me so i will still be working and preparing new models, just at a slower pace :) I don’t have a 3d printer with me so i miss that already :D :D
