Update on the pip boy - the good and the bad :D (Patreon)

Figured id let you know how I spent my past few days :)
As promised working on the new pip boy, and OH boy, now that's an interesting one to tackle :) It's gonna be much more work than I thought, but I think it will be well worth it in the end, so I just wanted to show you the updates and what I've been working on and why these projects take so long to make when done right :)
Sometimes I'm surprised how many different areas I need to be fluent in to make it happen, like 3d modeling, design, shape study, 3d scanning, processing scan data, mechanical design, freeform design, 2d design and post process, electronics, photo editing and animation, and so on :) All of that will be and already is applied in this project, and yes, as every other one, i'm doing all the work myself, so thank you guys for the awesome support and allowing me to always learn something new in the end i can share with you :)
Putting all those to good use, so far I recreated proportionally accurate model based on images available. In the photo I added you will see how it matches against the official prop. Keep in mind this is just a low poly mesh, with no details and no final accuracy just yet :)
I actually went and 3d scanned my hand so I can work out the sizing based on the images from the show and proportions, so now I think I'm very very close to that. Keep in mind the shape is made only from looking at images, no numbers, specifications or sizing were available, so i spent few days trying to get that right :D
Now that being said, I encountered a slight problem. All the new phones are waaaaay too big for the pip boy. I will still try to make it happen, so I will most likely provide several options for you to choose from, but even more interesting is- i've managed to decide on the electronics for the pip boy. So far when it comes to electronics that's all I can say, I don't want to make it too easy on my competitors out there :)
The electronics are ordered but I need to wait for them to arrive to create the build and test it all out, and make it all as easy as it can be so anyone can use it with no electronics knowledge background whatsoever. So just letting you know it's gonna be a while until this is complete, i'm gonna keep updating you, but it's gonna be so awesome once done , i can't wait :D
