Sad to hear about the s-rank months... Hang in there, don't get discouraged

Onimaru123

I still can't figure out why the S rank was canceled?

I'll be considered like an asshole, and I'll understand that, after all everyone have their own opinion, but maybe you will not be leaked if you don't censor everything? I mean, I understand you censor genitalia, and keep your variants pictures for your patreon, but censoring nipples? Really? That's lame. And you said No Guns Life is underrated, well , I'm sorry to tell you, but it will be still underrated, if you censor everything and no public release, it will be still underrated, so no, you won't give it justice. Same for the obscure shows you drew before. Dude please, throw us a bone, at least share uncensored nipples, and the original version, not even the variants.

That's a shame, but I'm fine. I'll continue doing my stuff.

Sorry, but I'm creating stuff for my patrons here, the stuff you are requesting for free, the original version uncensored, that's the reward for my B and C patrons. No censoring nipples is going to solve the problem? sorry, I don't think so, people always want more ( Is not like I don't post uncensored stuff every month with the commissions). The people leaking my works think they are heroes rescuing stuff that everyone deserves, from an "evil" artist. There is nothing I can do, there always will be leaks, I understand that, but unfortunately the reward system for my S-rank projects can't work in this way. And about No guns Life and other underrated shows... this is just a way to recommend the series to the people here; I never thought I was going to make popular a show; at the end I just want to draw what I like.

It is intended as a reward system for patrons. Now, if they got leaked, what you are basically paying for (well, supporting for a reward), how would you feel? On the one hand you could say you are supporting the artist, but on the other one, if you just look at the reward, it is wasted money. Every person has a different viewpoint, but there can surely be someone who has that mindset, and that creates bad feelings, sort of as being cheated on. From a more economical viewpoint, why should someone pay for something if someone else offers it for free? If the artist, or anyone at this point, needs the money to continue the work then it will do only no good. If it keeps happening then people might stop supporting, so in order to balance things out something had to change. It's hard to spot the source of the leaks, so the next best thing is to just stop a certain reward so it can't get leaked. Honestly, I don't think it is the best way, but if the artist deems it necessary to keep the workflow then I don't have a word against it.

What I mean by "it is not the best way" is that leaks will keep happening and that closing one reward tier will most likely not stop the leaks, but I think it might be justified for those who paid for the reward and feel betrayed now, so it was done to prevent the same from happening in the future. Edit: I mean especially since it is a reward related to the most expensive reward tier.

Thank you for such a detailed answer to my question, now everything has become clear to me, although if you look from the other side, then, in theory, if a person spends his money on a product, he himself will have the right to tell them what I am leading to, but to what if a person buys something (even if products are exclusive things and the like), then it is in his right to do anything with him.

It depends. If it was an unrestricted trade it could be true, but copyright applies to many things, including intellectual property. There is all that stuff about terms of service and similar things so certain rules get written down which you have to oblige to, which means you can do one thing, but not the other. But even without that, copyright can be even more difficult to deal with. It is as simply as denying someone to do something with a thing you made, whether it is physical or digital. As long as you are the creator you can decide what people are allowed to do with it. You could argue about free products, but the same principle applies. In this case the artist can say that duplication, or in other words sharing it for a broader audience, should not be done, here leaking files. The reasoning behind that is the same I already told in my earlier replies.

This is unfortunate, but not unforeseen. I don't think there's really any avoiding this, though. As long as there's something that costs money, someone will be willing to steal it. @Hedit; At least there is one bright side. While people giving our your works without permission is wrong, if no one had ever done so myself (And likely a fair deal of other people) would have never found out about you. Some time ago I was looking for Pokemon drawings and by chance found a picture of Rosa you had drawn on an image board. Because I was so impressed by it and you stamp your Patreon name on your works, I was able to come here and directly support your creations. So at the very least, it has lost you money but also brought in some new customers. But don't get me wrong, I get where you're coming from. I in no way condone theft, and I'm not saying you should or shouldn't do any action. I just wanted to share my story of how I came to be a supporter.

well, Rosa is a commission, so it's public xD... I know some people came to Patreon after they found leaked works, but if everything goes leaked the half of my rewards system lose sense, is more harmful than beneficial. That's the case for the S-rank tier; at least with A to C ranks the rewards can't be leaked until the month is over, and that's why I can continue here.
