Update - rebranding (Patreon)

hi all!! I've been thinking about a few things, and I wanted to keep you all abreast of them before I go through with anything, just to make sure y'all don't feel left in the dark in regards to things you're paying for lmfao

In short: I'll be dropping the name "yungbird" shortly, and going by a different alias. I've yet to decide on what that new alias will be, but the decision to drop yungbird as a name has been a decision I've wanted to make for a while now for a few reasons.

Reason number one is that it's a name that holds a lot of negative connotations for me, specifically because it's a name that carries with it a lot of bad memories, and reminds me a lot of people from said bad memories . It's a name that originated from times I spent around people who I'd prefer not to ruminate on, and I'm still stuck in a place where my identity as an artist feels very reminiscent of these times. Which brings me to...

Reason 2, and probably the main reason: I've outgrown it. Specifically, I feel like the "yungbird" brand reflects a person who I've grown out of being. Which, considering I've been using this name since 2015 (wow!!!), I think it's a surprise I took this long to realise this

However!! Despite how big I'm making this sound, not much will change!! I'll still be drawing, I'll still be working on my comics with Yume, Charlotte, Shimeyo, and co, and I'll still be the same old goofy little character, drawing the same goofy little characters. Maybe I'll even find a way to bring Bonnie, Peanut, Prudence, and Chaser into the project!

But ya, I just wanted to keep you all abreast of things looming on the horizon. It's time for a bit of a fresh start, I think
