If you're a new, post-reboot reader (i.e. if you've been a backer since AFTER 2021), you may not be very familiar with Patience. That's the busty (!) female guard we see in the last panel of this strip. Patience first appeared in August 2011 in strip #52.

It immediately occurred to me that it'd be fun to introduce her as a person who wanted to be taken seriously and resented her big boobs, then found herself purring like a sexy kitten when Thane showed up. I never did much with her in narrative terms, but now that she's back, I plan on using her a bit more, both for comedic and serious purposes. To be continued.
